that depends on a couple of things specific to your jeep. Like tire size, fender trimming, how much much droop your suspension will allow before something binds. It's more complicated than just saying a three inch lift. Flex your jeep out as far as it can before your tires hit, or something binds, and measure the distance between the shock mounts. Subtract maybe an inch and that's your collapsed length. Collapsed length pretty well determines travel length, so just pick a shock that won't bottom out on compression.

So it was just the Wagoneers that had the dual lights?

Yep, that was one of the defining features of the Wagoneer. It's still an XJ, though.

Random question:
Do 14" wheels fit on an XJ, or are there issues with brake clearance?

Good question. What back spacing. Drums on many XJs are 9" diameter

280 mm diameter rotor gives us approximately 5.5" radius
Caliper seems to stick out 1", giving us 6.5" space requirement
14" rim has an outer diameter of 14", on a standard steel rim I'd expect the inner diameter to be at least 1" to 1.5" less, giving us a possible clearance of 6.25"-6.5"

I seriously doubt it

Someone with 15" rim should take a good pic.

It was just a thought. I don't have any particular set of wheels to reference.

I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight after work. Can't guarantee anything though, I'm not men's warehouse
