$150 for decent case
$200 SYE
$75 chain
$100 seals & bearings & pickup screen & shift pads

Looking well over $500 assuming the important bits are in good shape lol

Left hood latch decided to not work while doing 75 down the highway today. Left side of the hood lifted up about half a foot while catching wind like a sail. Good thing the middle and right latches stayed on. Pulled over and slammed it shut. Drove for 5 minutes and it happened again. Spray some PB blaster on it to clean it out. Seemed to work. Anyone experience this before?

No but if pb blaster helped you simply had dirt or corrosion in the latch hanging it up.

Yeah a lot of black was dripping out. Ill test it again when I drive again. The left side has always sat a bit higher than the right.

You know I was really tired when I wrote that lol. Now that I'm awake I think it's more likely that it isn't latching. Possibly a spring worn out in the latch?

Lol could be. Like I said I was really pulling on it yesterday after I sprayed the black stuff out of it and it seemed to be holding well. Before I could pull it open so im optimistic

I took apart the idle air control chamber from the throttle body and the black gasket crumbled...

If my local parts house doesn't have one, am I able to get away with using rtv?
