today I tried to crank my grand cherokee because it has been sitting for quite some time (6+ months) and it would not start (surprise!). I then attempted to jump it, and while it was hooked up, the car started but absolutely would not idle. It sounded normal other than it would shut off as soon as I took my foot off of the gas. I let it sit and charge for a while, then tried to crank it by itself. Nothing. No lights, instruments, or noises. I'm assuming the battery needs replacing (Correct?), but why would it not idle at all?
Thank you, JDD

That said, I like the 44.
Hint: thrush welded is identical to the 44, but half the price.

Ok thanks. Everyone in the threads was so wishy washy about which is the best one for performance. To many opinions. Just thought I'd ask again.

I have the 40... I can only hear it between 1200 and 2000 rpm. Other than that it's pretty quiet, so if sound is what your looking for go super 44.

Ok. My buds got a 95 XJ with the 44 and 2.5" mandrel. Plus his cats are cut off. Hold on before y'all attack him on cutting his cats off. We live in Tennessee and have no emissions test here plus he trailers his to trails it's not street legal. It's loud with out a cat and a 44.
