At NAPA look at their premium Echlin brand. Some NAPAs suck and some dealers are great so comparison shop before you buy, might be cheaper to get the Mopar!

I have no experience with the distributor gasket.

So I replaced my window regulator yesterday and the motor works well and it slides well on the tracks but when I roll it up it won't roll up the last 1/4 into the seal at the top of the door. Any ideas on what to look for? Thanks guys

loosen the bolts holding the glass and push it up and tighten it.

Am I reading all of this correctly and if so would you consider this a budget upgrade with the new 5- 760 u-joints and almost alloy caps?

I just ordered my new gears and will be adding a Lokka to the Dana 30 when I have it tore down. While I have the axle shafts pulled out I figured I might as well put in stronger u-joints and these almost alloy caps if it is considered an upgrade.

Correct pre95' dana 30's have 260x (small) u-joints and 95'+ dana 30's have 297x (big) u-joints. If you have the skills to weld I would suggest you look into the dana 30 axle shaft full circle clip snap ring upgrade. Under load the u-joint caps spin and spit out the half moon retaining clip. There's two ways to fix that, full circle snap ring clips or weld those alloy caps over the end. Those caps are a good idea but it would be a pain to have to grind and reweld everytime you change a u-joint. For the full circle clips you can either buy high dollar aftermarket shaft ready for the clips or you can grind a small portion of your stock axle shafts to accept full circle clips. Thats what I did after I had a 297x u-joint explode taking the inner and outer shafts with it. Havn't had a problem since. http://rebelchapter4x4.com/forums/vi...php?f=22&t=323

This is why I love this forum. This is great. Thanks. I thought about having to grind those tabs off if you ever had to replace a u-joint. The snap ring is a great idea and inexpensive taboot!

Did you replace your u-joints with Spicer 5-760x?

ok so im installing my lift and i had to cut the track bar out. but i need to turn the Jeep around so that i can start on the rear. my question, is it ok to do two sharp 180* turns to turn it around. or will it over stress the control arms and such.

Use a couple ratchet straps then. You don't stand a chance of getting it turned around otherwise. Turning the steering wheel will just move the axle side to side.

Your going to want 1 3/16" OD circle clip/snap rings. I found mine locally at Fastenal hardware, you can source them easily online.

Here is my Moog 297x u-joint after an attempt in a rock garden on 33" tires (sheared all 4 legs of the u-joint off and snapped inner/outer shafts)-

Under stress the caps can spin and spit out the factory clips like mentioned before. Now with full circle clips the u-joint caps can spin all day long and the clips will hold them in.

Best $8 upgrade ever. Throw 760x's in at the same time = super beef.
I haven't had a single issue. Don't get crazy with the angle grinder, just grind down the shaft lip so there's a flat surface for the circle clip to sit flush on the inside of the axle shaft ear.

So I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to have them replace my ignition key cylinder, I'm bracing myself for when the parts guys gives me the outrageous quote for parts and labor.

Anyone have an idea how much it will be?
