hey guys i want to get either the 3.5" RE super ride or super flex lift for my xj but im not sure how to decide on which one i want and which would fit my style best. Im going to be doing some flexing and mudding but i mostly like the overall look of xj`s lifted. Which do you guys recommend?

Indian Head Shellac or GasgaCinch anywhere except for the "corners" of the oil pan gasket. Felpro valve cover gasket requires no sealant as does the oil pan gasket except for places noted. .

^^ That's a line of BS right there
Well. Thank you for your dedication to the cause lol.
Hey I got some other stuff you can test too! Does your exhaust get hot after driving on the highway for a while?

Reminds me, had a momentary lapse of common sense last summer, or sometime just before joining the forum. Landed on something in the woods, probably a tree stump, that broke the exhaust hangar on my old exhaust. While driving home, heard the dragging noise. Car had been running for hours. I got out, went around back, to notice a dragging pipe. I get down (jeep still running), look under the jeep, grabbing the pipe with my bare hand to lift and inspect (full on grip). Took about 4seconds before the pain of burning flesh kicked in and the opposite palm met my forehead in one of those classic, "I cannot believe I just did that" moments.

0663 Head on 89 Renix Block
Have sourced a 89 complete Renix 4.0 with 166K.
Have a few of questions:
1. Can I use the 0663 head from my 97 XJ on the 89 Renix block without modification? Searched around didn't find a definitive answer
2.) Which stock cam is going to have better performance numbers with above combo the 85 -95 cam or the 96 + cam. I know the 85 - 95 has more lift but not a expert on cam grinds so?
3.) Can I use the Mopar Performance head gasket .43 instead of stock .51 without any issues?
Hope to use above combo with 99 intake I have, EV6 injectors etc. In my 97 XJ
Thank you,

2-Cam gears etc were different. Early cam is fine.
3-Should be able to. Do you live in a high or low elevation?

Thanks Cruiser for fast reply!
Live in Central Indiana
So when buying a Master rebuild kit for this combo will a 87 -90 kit be the one I want and use a stock early cam and lifters? The Renix engine is running fine no pings or knocks but want to make fresh before dropping in XJ.

How many miles on the Renix?
Yes, an 87 to 90 rebuild kit is what you want.
I'm unsure about the head gasket at your elevation. I live at 5500 feet and have Renix Jeeps with knock sensors. Would be interesting to find out how much the compression ratio will increase with that thinner head gasket.

No. My 90 XJ parts Jeep. Got it a month ago. Stripping the crap out of it.
AX-15.... Drove it home 22 miles. Got an ad on CL for the motor with "hear it run".
Son-in-law has an 87, wife an 88, neighbor kid an 87, Take what we want and scrap the rest.
