Any help would be appreciated because it is embarrassing to drive around with it like this. Thanks.
Automatic or manual?

Feel all your fitting when you get a chance, a ball joint could have come loose. Nothing should really have any play when you try and wiggle em around

What disco's will fit a 3" lift? I see many are for 4" and above. Can the RC disco's be modified to work on a 3" lift?

The main outer rails on the roof are beginning to pull up towards the front. Pulling hardware out of the body. Any tips/suggestions on how to fix???

My never ending quest to extinguish engine/ alternator noise continues.

After hours and hours of research and multiple testing I'm still getting awful alternator noise in my cb. I've changed the wiring to power my cb with some partially shielded stand copper wire (12awg pic below) and used one for power and one for ground. I did get a pack of RG58 coax to use if the wire I'm using doesn't work to solve the issue. I really want to stay away from any "noise filters" as I've read that plenty of guys in an xj or not haven't had to use them. Again the cb I'm running is a uniden bearcat 538w with a 67" whip antenna. I've verified my ground is good and the coax is good. Power and ground for cb go directly to the battery. inline fuse on positive wire at battery and cb end.

Any tips our solutions are greatly appreciated!

Man I really wish I could check this out in person!! From the sounds of it you have tried everything I would try. Do you have a different cb you could throw in to see if that works? I have installed plenty of truck radios(mostly VHF/UHF) and never gotten noise from the alternator. Most of those installs were way lower in quality than what you are doing (power to main fuse block, ground there too, no noise filter, random mounted antenna) and always gotten good VSWR. At this point the only thing I have done dfferent from you is I made all my own connectors and use high end motorola radios.

Yeah and the crazy thing us I'm not even upset about it. If anything I'm more disappointed

Ya know I haven't even thought of that. But then again it was never mentioned in the countless write ups I've read. What does it do and where do I get it and install it??? And how do I test for ground loop??

I got mine at a truck stop a few years ago, it was the only thing I found to work to quiet it down. It cost me like 15 bucks
