That area has a cutout in the headliner for the overhead console and or receiver for remote entry.
I suggest removing the cover and seeing what lies beneath. To see if there is an empty harness.

Also try cycling the shifter back and forth then try starting it in neutral. The neutral safety switch is on the passenger side of the trans and is another thing that could of snagged.

Wouldn't hurt to look for a date sticker on the battery. If it had an old battery to start with, then after cranking it multiple times without starting, I'm sure it's at least weak at this point. A weak battery can cause all types of issues. Once you get the no start issue figured out, if the solution doesn't help the engine stalling when put in gear, that's the next issue to tackle.

1.) infinite reading across B&C on sensor connector
2.) When it wouldn't fire after getting trans bolted back up I ran through gears and tried in Neutral.
3.) Date sticker was never pulled but battery looks like new. The battery held up for 3 hrs + with headlights and flashers on when towing before lights began to dim. Left it on trickle charge all night.
4.) I believe the stahl when putting it into Drive was just because when you put it in drive with trans bolts out the trans would shift backwards moving the sensor away from flexplate. You could put it in Reverse with no stahl and drive backwards. (bellhousing/sensor moved back flexplate stayed put at engine) My theory anyway

Is that a picture of the OHC in a WJ?

Ok battery was on trickle charge all night but my charger was in error this morning reset the charger and hooked back up and only showing 60% charge 11.9V.
Wouldn't there be enough power when jumping from another vehicle to start though? Tried that with same scenario. And still throws code again after clearing.

Can you weld??

I've seen gutter mounts that are non welded that you put bolts through to secure rack but can't remember the site they are from. If you can weld, there's a ton of them or you cab make one easily

A bad crank sensor will give you no spark. I've never heard of a code for it though. Get a new one from the dealer, all others are crap.

Code is P0320
Know the symtpons but sensor tests good although I know this is not always accurate. Circuit has already been test as well and everything is good Just making sure its not something else causing code.
Read previous threads of whats been covered so far.

Thanks for reply

ok, dumb question time

what bumpers can I bolt on to my xj without a serious headache

there's a bunch of jeep stuff on the craigslist round here, but not much for an xj
lots y's t's cj's ... some of them are actually in my price range...
but I don't want to spend more time/money modding the bumper to fit than I would spend just ordering one, or having it fabbed

Quote your own post so we have an idea of what you asked. Too lazy to look back to be honest

Decided to plan my front brakes replacement, and possible a rear drum shoe replacement. My only question is how do I figure out what brake pads/shoes to get? Never replaced brakes before so I dont know if there are different types or sizes or what.

Thanks in advance for advice!
