Default rubber fuel line from tank to filter

so i had a really bad leak coming from what i thought was the fuel filter at first. But after i had bought the new filter and got under there i noticed that the rubber line going IN to the filter from the tank was cracked and pretty worn out. so i cut it back a little got everything back together, pressurized the system and it started leaking again. It's definitely the hose. Now, is that a special hose? Because according to Advance Auto Parts thats a dealer only part. Can i use any kind of rubber line as long it fits on the nipples of the tank and filter?

A couple of things:
I changed my oil recently (20W50 in a '95 4.0 w/ 214,xxx miles) and I'm not entirely sure if my recent problems are related. My check engine light illuminated on my way home from work so I started paying close attention to my gauges.

1) My oil pressure stays above 40 PSI during driving conditions and I don't think it was that high before.

2) My water temp. flirts with the 210 degree mark.

At any rate, that puts both needles around or above their halfway point which I don't think they were at before the oil change. I'm going to check my oil level in the morning to see if I'm burning any oil but I know I'm not leaking any fluids.

Thoughts?

..is there a condenser(capacitor) built-in on that model cb? if not, have you added one to your power lead coming off the back of your alternator? it's not really a noise filter of any sort, but it absorbs the abundance of electrical charge built-up by your alternator.
i fought this same problem in a radio, in an old nissan pick-up of mine. ultimately, it turns out that i had a weak ground, which had actually fried part of my wire harness coming from the back of my alternator, after installing a more powerful starter. i found it had fried my condenser. a more powerful, new 12V one was like $3 at radio shack, and i just spliced it in-line on the back of my alternator.. solved my problem.

Well first, jeeps run normal at 210 electric fan on around 215-218. Normal oil pressure is like 40-55(60) driving and 20-30 sitting. Jeeps use 10w-30 or 5w-30. Never seen someone use 20-50. Maybe yes but if so then someone else here will have to confirm that

I don't believe my cb has a capacitor and I have not added one to the power lead of the alternator.

What size capacitor would I use for this application??

size kind of depends on what wattage your cb is drawing.. as long as you have a 12V capacitor, that can handle the wattage of the cb, you should be set. you can get some pretty universal capacitors at most auto parts stores.. may have to splice a wire or two, to connect properly for the back of your particular alternator. i had gotten mine from radio shack for just a few bucks. if you aren't sure about the install, just talk to a car audio installer at best buy or anywhere like that. that same alternator whine will destroy all AM band reception, just like it does for your c-band.

Hey so I got a buddy whos scraping a 96 zj with the 4.0 and told me if I want anything off it take it. So I'm planing on taking the rear disc setup on it but is there anything else that would work on my 90 xj thats worth taking? I've tried searching but haven't found anything to helpful besides more info on the disc swap. Thanks.

Cb pulls about 4 watts max I believe

Default wires on drivers side floor

I'm replacing my rusted out floor and there is a bundle of wires b/w the carpet and the floor. Does anyone know what these wires control? About half of them have been exposed and ate corroded pretty bad. Going to fix them, but just curious if they have something to do with door locks and windows as mine don't work, just like 90% of the Cherokees! Thanks

My oil pressure is jus before the 60 mark wen driving highway drops between that for normal driving n drops down to 40 during idle, is that normal?

20W 50 is heavy duty oil, ok for summer and warm climates, off road use, excellent engine protection and oil press, little less recommended for winter use.

nope. Everything else either won't fit or is exactly the same, except maybe the seats. Gas tank skid can also be modified to fit

mines does the same. That is a normal range to be at. Im at about 30-35 during idle and go to 60 driving
