Okay so I'm in the process of replacing my valve cover gasket on my 99 Cherokee and was just wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the plastic line that comes off the top of the valve cover in the side closest to the firewall it goes over by the throttle body I broke it and need to know the name and if I can get it at like AutoZone.

Vacuum line from rear CCV elbow to intake manifold. It's also a good idea to pick up a new grommet and CCV elbow too as they clog up, and tend to break into a zillion pieces when you try to remove them for cleaning. AutoZone's astute-as-a-potato parts lookup system will probably call it PCV.
Note the difference between the front and rear CCV elbows. I put mine on backwards a few months ago and just realized it yesterday. Gotta swap'm around later today.

Amazon! Cheaper than the stealership as long as you know what you're looking for...
Notice how they call it PCV, and helpfully say it won't fit my Jeep
(Yes, I know it is actually a CCV= Constant Crankcase Ventilation)

I ended up dropping my jeep off at the garage I go to this morning and the mechanic told me I'm going to need a new transfer case. There is a guy who parts out XJs near where I live and he said he has a 242, which I believe is what is on my '01 Limited. Is that correct? Also, what should I look for to make sure this one is in good shape?

Can you get more detailed info from the mechanic and the reasons for his diagnoses? Did he show you what the issue is?
If the shifter bezel looks like this picture than it's 231 transfer case. If you have 'Part Time' and 'Full Time' than it's 242.
Also, on rear of TC is a disk with the model number stamped into it.

Alright y'all. Got my entire 6.5" lift complete. Now I need to do a sye and drive shaft. Anyone know where I can get a complete kit or what's the cheapest but most durable way to get this done?

Cylinder #3 running rich
I switched from E3s to some Champion plugs about 2,000 miles ago. When I pulled the E3s cylinder #3 plug had a lot of black on the plug like it was running rich. I just decided to go to the NGKs and when I pulled the Champions again #3 cylinder plug had a lot of black residue on it like #3 is running rich. All other plugs look great.
Questions:
1. Is the Champion #3 a bad plug?
2. Should I swap injectors to see if that is the problem?
3. Could the computer be telling only #3 to run rich for some reason?
4. If not the injector or bad plug, what all could cause this?
Below are pics of the E3s and the Champions. The #3 cylinder plug is the one with all the black on it. The clean Champion plug show how well the others are doing. Same thing with the E3.
