Guess I will have to take my Jeep to a shop and have them look at the a/c. I installed ALL new components, pulled a vacuum and had no leaks.
Went to charge the system and put in the recommended amount of freon. Pressures look good based on ambient temp but air was not very cool. Compressor called for 8oz. of oil so that is what I put in. Looking at the manual it said total system 6.1oz of oil. So I bled off some of the oil and that seemed to help the temp drop from 70* to 60* coming out the vents but from what I read it is suppose to be between 35-45* at the vents.
Current pressure readings at 83* ambient temp were 35psi (low side) and 225psi (high side). It was at 40psi on the low side before bleeding off some of the oil (freon came out as well obviously). That is why it is down to 35psi now.
Any idea what is going on here before I go get one broke off in me??? It could use a little more freon possibly but I don't think it is low enough to cause that big of a temp difference.

Not sure where to go from here. I don't know how there could be a blockage in the system with all brand new parts. All the ends were capped when shipped to me.

Everything was replaced. New condenser, evaporator, accumulator, compressor, hoses. I was very careful putting it all back together to make sure I did not get any kind of debris in the system.

Do your pressures even out when you turn the AC off?

I looked at my ac chart and your pressures match up, I would try adding some freon again now that some oil is out and see if that gets things moving through the system. Also maybe give it a little time to push that oil through the system.

Maybe once it runs a little while it will work itself out. I will try and add a little more freon. As far as the pressures being even when the ac is off I don't know because I did not check that. Are they suppose to be even when it is off and if they are not what kind of problem would that indicate?

In hind sight I wish I would have split the oil up through the system rather than adding it all to the compressor. I just wonder if that is the problem, the oil having to be moved through the system that way.

I guess my cooling system is still a bit off.
Today when I got home from work, roughly a 15min drive, I noticed my temp gauge really wanted to tick over the 210 mark, and it did a bit, the e-fan came on after idling at a light, and it stayed on until I shut off the engine. I popped the hood to check the coolant level and to my surprise, instead of being a tad low, like it had been the last couple drives after overhauling the system, it was damn near the top of the reservoir. For some reason a lot of coolant backed up into the reservoir. Any idea why this would happen? The engine was hot, and I feel like the e-fan is working overtime to keep it cool. Do I have a blockage somewhere?
When I pop the hood it smells like hot coolant.

You may want to start a new thread for your cooling system so that all the details are sorta organized and easy to find

Replaced receiver/dryer when the pressure valve blew out the bottom. Now I still have sort of similar issue as you. My levels are perfect, no leaks and almost everythongs new. The AC is 21*f on some days and 55*f on others. Its confusing the **** out of me. Im going to look into a new condenser and lines because mine was a R12 converted system with new compressor for R134a.
