Ok well I am a fairly new Jeep owner (92 XJ)and I have come across a part that I don't recognize. It has a slack cable running to the throttle body and a vacuum line running out of it as well. I have a feeling the cable running to the throttle body should hold tension, but until I know the purpose of the part I can't fix it.
I suggest running new wires to eliminate the splices, then wrapping in wire loom and run along firewall, not on top of other components where the insulation can get chaffed.

It's not bad for those of us who have done it before. It has to be done just right especially if your using it as a daily driver. I would suggest taking it to a mechanic that has the stuff to do it if you haven't ever done it.

hey everybody, so I've been working on installing cruise control on my jeep but i have run into issues with pulling the steering wheel, one of the holes for the puller is stripped so I'm unable to use the puller, anyone got any suggestions on how to get the wheel off?

Mine's a 99. I don't think there is much a difference. It has 3 (still frozen) bolts. I drilled holes in the bolts, cut them in half with cut wheels, blasted the bolts apart with kroil, everything. Still stuck! No f@#kin clue how to get rid of those things!

Alternator has a ton of resistance in it when I spin the pulley. Sounds wrong to me. Where should I get a replacement at?

TJ coils, + or - 1" on an XJ?
Just sold 6" lift coils to a TJ guy. Wonder how they're gonna work for him. Lol. Not my problem but I'm curious.
