Thats only if you have cruise control. Mine doesnt have it either, and thats also why there is an extra slot for a wire on the valve cover thing

Question 1: Are there any lockers that aren't a grand?
Question 2: I want to install 2 hood vents in the back of the hood, but thats where i would also be placing my cold air intake (i think its called a cowl?) would this be counter productive since the hot air might get sucked into the filter?
Question 3: How long can an alt stay underwater before it cuts out, and if i wanted to relocate it WITHOUT taking out my a/c,would it be possible?

Yes, most of them are.

Somewhat. The cowl area is behind the hood. Any hot air that would come from vents depends how fast you're going and how hot the engine bay is and how everything is lined up. Most people put vents in the middle of the hold, the cowl air source is a foot away in front of the driver. Worst case scenario is still better than under the hood.

Depends. Some fail instantly.

Alt can be relocated near the power steering pump.

Everything you asked should be posted or searched for in Modified Tech lol, none of this has anything to do with OEM Tech.

PCv "elbows" are obviously different between the front and rear on the valve cover but every parts store I've called shows they only have one available for the 4.0 and it's the taller one aka the rear one that has the small air hole while the front has the larger hole. At the base I mean inside the valve cover. Not the part the hose attaches to. How do I ask for the front shorter one? And are the grommets the same? I just ripped mine out and one is destroyed.

What year?
Cruiser54 has the Napa part numbers somewhere...they are different front than rear for my 88. Don't know about later years. It's a ccv by the way, closed crank case ventilation not positive crank case ventilation

The grommets are the same.

The system is called a CCV, not PCV. Depending on how clever the person who programmed the parts store's computer is it may be called either. The rear elbow, which has a 'fixed orifice', is sometimes called a PCV Valve - despite being neither PCV nor a valve.

For 1998 the OE part numbers are 53020027 up front and 53030495 in the rear. Cross reference to your favorite brand

The rear can be put in the front but doesn't the front need the elbow with the larger diameter middle? Iirc the rear is small and the front is like 1/2" when I got my replacements from napa
