Replace with a bosch 67658 unit. Amazon has them and ebay has them. I picked mine up from seller:tdi_baseline for 230. Cheapest I could find but so far no complaints

Pricey little unit ain't it? I guess that falls under the "you get what you pay for" saying?!

Yes, also avoid the airtex units. They are cheap and have nothing but problems as you can read up on from other jeepers on here. Replace with a carter or bosch. However one member ordered a carter pump and discovered it to be a rebranded airtex pump that was priced extra....

Default Possible transmission problems???

New member to the Fourm not new to jeeps love this site saved my *** plenty of times so thanks for that.

So heres my problem and I've tried to search other places but the things I've found/tried haven't worked.

So I've never had any engine or transmission trouble before but couple days ago something went to crap. Now when i turn on my jeep it takes two or three tries to start with lots of Coughing, and stuttering but thats not all. Once i put it into drive and step on the gas it starts coughing and spitting and sputtering. Randomly it will kick in and go for a little but then if i get on the gas to accelerate it will hesitate and start spitting again. So basically every time i press the gas it chokes and hesitate and sounds like its going to die. End of the day its been has made my jeep un-driveable.

things I've tried
tps replacment
throttle kick down alinement
TCM replacement

Really need some help here before i go buying new parts that won't fix anything.
Any help will be great thanks guys

P.S The TCM i bought a used one on ebay that matched and plugged it in. do i need to rest my computer when i do that ?

Don't replace anything else until you scan it for codes. Yes, it's entirely possible to replace perfectly good parts with junk. Fix could be as simple as a bad electrical ground issue.

No codes and replaced my fuel pump less than 10,000 miles ago. Just seafoamed it yesterday.

They didn't tell you why? Do they sell bridges, too?

TCM problems don't cause the thing to cough, sputter, and have trouble starting. Severe electrical or fuel system problems do.

Can you get the codes read at AutoZone or similar?

I ripped out my o2 sensor wires with my driveshaft, now no spark and no fuel, seems to me like it took the CPS with it, on base?

Maybe. Did you look at the CPS wiring?
