no, I put a CPS in, because everything pointed at the CPS, it's not throwing any codes. I have no gauges, no bus message, no fuel pressure, it's a 2000 so no good way to check for spark, I replaced the o2 sensor since the wires were ripped out. I checked all of the under hood fuses, and the ignition/fuel/asd related fuse in the kick panel, I also swaped my fuel pump, and asd relays for my buddy's just to check them, and still no luck, I'm stumped.
Actually, it is throwing a code, I'll have to check it when I get it home.

i know that now, but thanks, you got any ideas? I know it's not a fuse or a relay, because the problem is the buss, but I don't know where to begin fixing it, I broke down at 7:30 and I have been sitting in this parking lot ****ing with it and researching on it ever since.

Front End
Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 4.0 Auto. I've lifted it about 4 to 4 1/2 inches (Old Man EMU) and I'm running 15x8 Steels and have 32x11.5 15, MuD Terrain on them. The issue is, or I think it's an issue, is that the front end is so much different now as far as feeling solid. Don't get me wrong, I know it should or I maybe it should with the lift and larger tires, but when I hit a bump, I can REALLY feel it in the steering wheel and the steering wheel kind of rolls with the bump with the front wheels. It also seems to be a little loose feeling. Even though, When I barely turn the wheel, the vehicle turns. I'm not talking a slack wheel, just not as tight or solid as before.
I've replaced the Tie Rods, Sway bar links and the ball joints. I've replaced bushings in the front end to eliminate or troubleshoot as a process of elimination. So, I'm not sure if this is the nature of the beast from lifting it and larger tires? I just feel the front end isn't as strong and stable as it could be. It kind of feels; "Rickety" but in safe way. I don't feel I'm in mechanical danger. I'm just not happy with the way the front end feels. I might add I also have a 2014 4 Door Rubicon that has the AEV lift package (6inch) with 35's and it feels solid in the front end. This is what I'm looking for.
I know the difference in age between the two may have a big factor, but with all the great components out there. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with fixing this issue I feel I have. Thanks for any and all input.

Yes, it was aligned. Would the drag link and Trac Bar (also replaced) not being parallel , make the steering wheel feel every bump? The problem, I'm having in my area is finding the right business who knows what they're doing with a lifted Cherokee. After I took it to its first alignment, they didn't even notice the Tie Rod ends were "wollered". So, my Dad and I got under neath, both taking turns, turning the wheel, before we found it. We figured this would take care of it, but its still there. Anyone from NC Fayetteville area that knows (good Alignment shop)? I will drive it somewhere if I have to.

Yep. It's called bump steer. But don't look at the bars themselves. The mounting points need to be parallel with each other, but the shape of the actual bar doesn't matter.

Like mentioned the CPS and ASD relay coordination doesn't have any impact on fuel pressure. The PCM runs the fuel pump as soon as you turn the key.
Can you start a new thread with the symptoms, your troubleshooting done thus far, and how it behaves, and toss us a link? Ask A Question is a crappy venue for ongoing issues.

I need some help here.
My steering, it goes something like this
Normal, normal, tough to steer, normal, normal, hard to steer, normal, normal, tough to steer.
From lock to lock.
It did this on the original gear box which has been swapped out with another one from my parts Jeep. Which didn't have issues before it was decommissioned.
Could the pump be the problem? Is there something in the steering column that could cause this?

I spray PB blaster on the joints on the steering shaft and turned the wheel lock to lock, over and over. I can now turn the wheel with one finger with all of my steering connected. Its smooth as I think it can be. I don't know if it was more air bleeding out, shaft getting lubed or a combo of both but its fine now.

What exactly happens when I press the accelerator pedal? Does it just move the throttle body's butterfly?
I would like to know because in hot/cold temperatures with the engine hot or cold, it is the only way I can get my XJ to start.
Once I get it started, it will stay running. Only bad part I can say about the engine running after I get it to start is that the oil pressure sometimes drops to a little over 40, the rest of the time while driving it is on the third or 3/4 hash mark.
