Might be the wrong place, but im looking for info on front axle swaps, motor swaps..from tcase and trans. I already have a motor, a ford 347 stroker. I had planned to sell the motor originally to finance a different motor swap but its such a strong motor. Im just gonna swap ot over to that tbi style fuel injection system and remove the big shot. just want an idea of what will work up front. trying to keep the axle width close to stock, maybe a bit wider. I dont mind having to do some fab, just not looking to get dumb crazy cutting half my firewall and fenders out. Trimming is fine. Maybe there is a site i can go to to find this info. Thanks in advanced.

Quick question: will the Motorcraft FL-400S work on the XJ 4.0? Got one from reading up but wanted to double check. Not looked for the extra FL-1A. Just need a regular replacement and wanted the silicone ADBV.

Are you sure? I just got home and had time to cross-reference thread sizes for listed replacements and the FL-400S. Both use 3/4 - 16. The only difference is that some listed something to the effect of "UNF-2B", "Th d" afterwards while others did not.

When I put left blinker on my 4 ways will sometimes kick on. Is this a bad 4 way switch, a relay, ground? The 4 way switch is finicky and if not pushed to proper position will make it so blinkers don't come on at all, so logic is pointing me towards the switch itself. Thanks.

Hello all, i have a 1993 jeep cherokee base model 4x4, 4 door, automatic, 4.0l, mt left rear 2 parking lamps do not work, through rigorous testing i am getting almost a 5v drop in the power circuit (blue and red wire) compared to the right side, i have a new headlamp switch.... Are old rust spots in metal like this safe to bedline over, or do they need more prep?

so i was thinking about taking my head lights out and putting these bad boys in.

my question is how would i wire them into the headlight harness? also it says they have flood and spot so how would i wire them up with the high and low beams switch.

sitting here it seems like a good idea and i need new headlights anyways. Any help would be great or other suggestion of other led lights u guys put in to replace the stock headlights

If the remaining metal is solid, that should be fine. Tap it with a hammer to find out. And don't forget to check out those areas from the other side!

Yeah. It won't pass the hammer test lol. You've got at least some stuff in there that needs to be cut out.

Linky no worky.

For LED headlight replacement look into TruckLites. Legal, well performing, and dependable.

Do some rust inhibitor and then drop a piece of sheet metal over it, hammer to fit and then screw, or weld, the new sheet down. Now paint/bedline.
