Hey thanks very much for replying. I did mention the year of my XJ in the title of my post. It is a 1996. Is this picture the same for that year? Thanks again.

I prefer to use dizzy caps with brass connections rather than aluminum (rotor also). Never had a terminal pull out like that.

Another vote for brass. Never seen one pull out like that either. I've got a couple old ones. Might see what it takes to pull one out. Wonder if the spring for the rotor contact was ever in there?

Is there anything that could leak oil near/under the left side of the radiator? It doesnt smell like coolant, its too light to be oil, and the power steering or brake level isn't moving either.
