Hey thanks very much for replying. I did mention the year of my XJ in the title of my post. It is a 1996. Is this picture the same for that year? Thanks again.

OK - thanks to this picture I was able to find the drip hose, pull it off and clean it and also clean the path through the firewall. The hose on my XJ was slightly different. It was the same size, but it dropped along side of the frame.

I will report back on whether this resolved the issue. Thanks!

I prefer to use dizzy caps with brass connections rather than aluminum (rotor also). Never had a terminal pull out like that.

Sorry about missing the yr. I'll just use one of my "blame on a senior moment" cards.

I see you got things cleaned out. HOPE that's all the problem was.

Another vote for brass. Never seen one pull out like that either. I've got a couple old ones. Might see what it takes to pull one out. Wonder if the spring for the rotor contact was ever in there?

Is there anything that could leak oil near/under the left side of the radiator? It doesnt smell like coolant, its too light to be oil, and the power steering or brake level isn't moving either.
