Hey guys,
I just had a problem start up with my jeep that first happened a couple weeks ago while I was driving down the road the engine just died for no reason.... I just put it in neutral ( while still coasting down the road ) and it started right back up so I just thought it was a fluke thing but then later in the week I took the kids to the fair and it ran fine ( bout an hour drive ) when we went to leave the fair it wouldnt start... the engine turned over, battery is good, heard the fuel pump, but it did sound like the engine was turning over a little fast ( maybe cuz this has never happened before and I just never heard how fast the engine cycles from the starter ) after about five minutes of turning the key off and on it started right up and ran fine all the way home.. So im wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what people may think it could be.. Im thinking crank sensor, cam sensor, coil packs? anyway any help would be greatly appreciated..

So after the rebuild(all new gaskets) I finally got her running. Turns out the cable running to the distributor wasn't grounded.
Now the big problem.
I'm still getting white smoke out of the exhaust, the thermostat housing is leaking from the gasket(new thermo, and gasket), there's coolant pouring out of the radiator overflow, and there's white smoke coming out of the dipstick holder.
Any ideas?
