Ok so I've got an intermittent grinding/vibration coming from the front axle. Happens at speeds of less than 10mph. Recently replaced both axle u joints, track bar and front hubs and about a week later it started. The grinding only happens occasionally, and seems to be worse after driving for a while or in hot weather. Any ideas?

Exact problem
Hey guys,
I just had a problem start up with my jeep that first happened a couple weeks ago while I was driving down the road the engine just died for no reason.... I just put it in neutral ( while still coasting down the road ) and it started right back up so I just thought it was a fluke thing but then later in the week I took the kids to the fair and it ran fine ( bout an hour drive ) when we went to leave the fair it wouldn't start... the engine turned over, battery is good, heard the fuel pump, but it did sound like the engine was turning over a little fast ( maybe cuz this has never happened before and I just never heard how fast the engine cycles from the starter ) after about five minutes of turning the key off and on it started right up and ran fine all the way home.. So im wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what people may think it could be.. Im thinking crank sensor, cam sensor, coil packs? anyway any help would be greatly appreciated..

I had a problem with my jeep exactly like this . I never knew when it would act up. it would start and run fine go for a while then die. I never knew if it would start. once it went 3 months and wouldn't start then suddenly out of the blue it ran like it had no problems. then the cycle repeated it self. I spent hundreds on new parts, I paid mechanics to diagnose. I changed the crankshaft position sensor, it did not help, I changed the throttle position sensor, it did help I changed the fuel pressure regulator, changed the fuel pump because the pressure was low, that did not help . pulled and cleaned all the fuel injectors, didn't help , New plugs, distributor cap and rotor cap. I changed several relays this went on for nine months some times it would run like there was nothing wrong some times it would just quit for no reason what it finally turned out to be was the module in the bottom of the distributor went bad. I got a jeep Cherokee with 268,000 miles that runs like new now. I had spent over 1500 dollars on parts and another 500 on Mechanics. I finally told one What the heck just put in a new distributor ($55.00 autozone part) when I picked it up it ran like a new jeep. I've not had any problems like that since

I want a rear bumper with a built in 2" receiver, d-rings and a tire carrier. I have looked at a couple of them but want one that sits the tire in the middle of the hatch and is not off centered. Something that adds ground clearance, is heavy duty and has a matching front bumper, maybe lucky enough to have room for a winch? Anybody know where I should look?

No, I don't lick fish.
Agreed, LSD or Selectable would be preferable, but to say that you may as well have a 231 if you have an auto-locker is a little extreme, I think. You still are able to drive it in 4wd FT and have the advantage of the front end not binding up when your turning regardless of whether or not you have the rear locked, unlocked, or lsd.

I have a switch on my Cherokee pioneer dash board that I don't know what its for. I've tried to down load a picture but i don't know what happened to it. It shows a transmission over the switch. The two positions on the switch are; power "above", and comfort "below".
also according to the dealer when the vin number was checked my tranny has a heater in it. (just in case that will give someone a clue).
