ml = milliliters
Ml = Maple liters
If you got your 4.0 up to 7k RPMs expect many engine problems... like "just got a new crankshaft inspection window in your motor bucket"

I was literally on a straight stretch of road with the pedal to the floor, and after I would let off, it would die.

Question.
My 1999 Cherokee I6 Automatic.
I have new radiator.
Water Pump maybe 5000 miles ago.
I have three electric fans across the back of radiator.
Today on a mild trail ride I started heating up. Got up to 240 degrees. I turned around and headed down the canyon and back to my shop. Temp calmly went down to 208. Got on freeway at 70mph and I was running about 215 which is okay.
It has done this before.
I'm thinking I need a new theromstat. I don't know when or what thermostat is in there.
Can't think of anything else that would cause my problem. What do you think.

I had a similar problem with excessive temp. After chasing gremlins in the cooling system it turned out to be a bad ground on the sensor controlling my electric fans. It was random and i only caught it one day when both fans went out while I was goofing around with the throttle body. It's more likely the thermostat, but if that doesn't help check the electric fan wiring.
