Hopefully he still has signal and can help us convert metric and standard rpm. Isnt he from the land of metric maple syrup?

ml = milliliters
Ml = Maple liters

If you got your 4.0 up to 7k RPMs expect many engine problems... like "just got a new crankshaft inspection window in your motor bucket"

Sorry 4-6k rpm. I had the pedal to the floor. I just assume it was around that range.
I was literally on a straight stretch of road with the pedal to the floor, and after I would let off, it would die.

So no hard acceleration with the 4.0l?

And I'm not being a smartass, I literally have no idea. I assumed as long as it doesn't bounce off the rev limiter it should be okay.

Default factory side mirrors

so i folded my driver side mirrors in like i usually do and the whole mirror popped out. i'd like to avoid the glue and buy a factory driver side mirror with the backing plates. for the life of me i cannot find one. does anyone know where i could find one. much appreciated.

it's a 98' Cherokee Classic w/o heated mirrors.

I've run my MJ til the needle pointed straight down on the speedo and was nowhere near 6000 RPM.

Change your fuel filter.........

Question.
My 1999 Cherokee I6 Automatic.
I have new radiator.
Water Pump maybe 5000 miles ago.
I have three electric fans across the back of radiator.

Today on a mild trail ride I started heating up. Got up to 240 degrees. I turned around and headed down the canyon and back to my shop. Temp calmly went down to 208. Got on freeway at 70mph and I was running about 215 which is okay.

It has done this before.

I'm thinking I need a new theromstat. I don't know when or what thermostat is in there.

Can't think of anything else that would cause my problem. What do you think.

I had a similar problem with excessive temp. After chasing gremlins in the cooling system it turned out to be a bad ground on the sensor controlling my electric fans. It was random and i only caught it one day when both fans went out while I was goofing around with the throttle body. It's more likely the thermostat, but if that doesn't help check the electric fan wiring.

Thanks. Fans are running great.
