The spring was in there from the factory so they could vacuum fill the cooling system on the assembly line without the lower hose collapsing.

Quick Question on the factory air intake box on a 1996 Cherokee with the 4.0.
There is a small rectangular opening on the front of the box.
Is that supposed to be wide open or covered by something?

Some years are wide open, some have a little tunnel that restrict air to from the headlight cavity, making it a "cold air intake"

Same as an XJ
75W90 API GL-5, 3 quarts should do the whole thing, keep 4 handy. LSD additive if required. I don't imagine that WJ's going to do any towing lol

Whatever API GL-5 you like that Aussie approves of, but with a bit of friction modifier added. Nearly every synthetic 75w90 I've seen has the stuff already in.
HELP!!
OKAY soo today i decided id finally fix the surface rust on my drivers side door on the edge closest to the door handle. So i happily lifted my door off (removable door mod) and took out the grinder with a flap disc and started sanding. after the edge was down to clean metal i decided to remove those pesky rubber flat things stuck to the door because there was rust underneath and they fell off the other side so i ripped them off it took some paint off to which is okay because I planned on sanding all of the left over adhesive and paint in that area with the plans of rattle caning it black so I started sanding away and i hit bondo! and gouged it up really bad with the flap disc so thats where in at the whole bottom of the door is covered in about a 1/4" thick layer of bondo that is gouged up and ruined and i don't know why its there. btw if someone can tell me how to post pics ill post high res images. ThankYou

What brand?
Did you put the dielectric grease into the boots upon installation?
