Technically yes, but you'd have to set gears up again.

How important is it to change the o-rings on the fuel injectors when swapped over to a new motor? Will this break the seal and cause air to leak in?

Very, they will either let air in or let fuel out. One leads to frustration, the other leads to a vehicle fire. Which can also be very frustrating.

Break the seal? You did that as soon as you pulled them lol

Al I needed to know lmao. No fuel leaks whatsoever! But I'm having a fuel delivery problem at idle. Drives and runs fine, but after some research and asking around I'm thinking since I did not replace the o-rings during the motor swap that they are letting air in and causing a nonconsistent Idle. Everything else is new and in good working order. That's why I'm looking at those o-rings as the culprit...

Bad seal around an injector that could cause idle issues but NOT a fire would be on the side in the manifold. In such a situation you'd be looking at a damaged or hardened O-ring, or you didn't clean out the manifold holes before reinstalling (common). At any rate troubleshooting is easy as it's just a vacuum leak. Shoot some brake cleaner around and see what happens.

Around the manifold holes? What should I be looking for while I'm spraying??

Easy to check with a can of throttle body cleaner. At idle, spray around suspected leak areas. You'll know when you find one.

Doesn't sound like your getting enough fuel.. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to carbs though.

What would cause coolant to leak out the rad cap? I have a leak and it "appears" to be coming from around that area, but I'm not 100% sure. I put my old cap on and I'm not going to make any other changes just to see if i just got a malfunctioning cap 😕

The overflow tank line. That can leak. It's goes I. Right below the radiator cap and I've mistaken that leak for a radiator cap leak as well.

If that's where it's leaking from. Mine doesn't have a clamp or anything just fits snug on it. But if it's even a bit pulled back it will leak like a ****.

Do they have some kind of automatic choke that could be having issues?

The very early XJs are pretty rare here. I recommend starting a proper thread to get some more eyeballs on your issue
