My buddy has a 95 2wd Grand cherokee and bought a budget boost. He went with 3" polys for all 4 corners and shocks.

My question is has anyone used this style lift for a ZJ and was there any issues or other parts needed since it's 2 wd?

Does he need anything else? He bought this kit completely for looks not purpose. Basically wants a semi lifted SUV and doesn't off road at all.

Try the Grand Cherokee sub-forum https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/

At 3" lift he'll need shocks, an alignment, and will need to do something about the track bar.

Can a bad ball joint cause minor negative camber?

Yeah, but it doesn't even have to be bad. My cambers off simply because of the way it sits. I need an offset ball joint to fix it. It doesn't affect anything at all though. (Depends on how much your camber is off though)

It depends how much it's "off". Mines not perfect but not off near enough to cause any damage what so ever.

The very early XJs are pretty rare here. I recommend starting a proper thread to get some more eyeballs on your issue
The choke was wired open when I got it for some reason I'm not sure why so I never touched it.

There you go! Sounds like it just dumps fuel in and floods it at start up. Due to it being forced open all the time.

I know almost nothing about carburetors but I do know that's not right.

Right but I unwired it from being openall the time. To try it and it still did it.

Maybe the PO had it wired open because the choke was screwing up and decided to stay closed and not run at all. So he wired it open. Maybe that part is faulty.

Should I get a manual choke kit? And just do it manually.

Make sure the carb main body isn't loose from the base first, and that there are no leaking vacuum hoses.

On the subject of the floor pans, a friend who just did an S-10 used the stuff for pickup beds. Don't remember the brand name though. It made a really tough & hard surface, and likely water proof under the carpet, if it gets wet..
