Hey guys, I am wanting to do a junkyard lift and I heard from a thread that F-150/Bronco Coils ('70s-ish) will give me about 4-4.5" lift. Does that mean I just slap them on or will there be some "negotiating" to get them to work right? I have no clue what I am doing, so help would be appreciated. thank you in advance

Ok I'm very concerned about this. For the last month or two my front drivers wheel has been making a loud humming noise, especially when I'm between 30-45 MPH. I don't know what it is it could be coming from the wheel, axle, I'm not sure. But I believe it is only on the front drivers side. Any ideas? It seems to drive just fine.

Hello,
I got a 91 xj I did some research for the injector swap, I was planning to go to the JY but before I did, I searched ebay, I found a set of 6 yellow top injectors that were said to fit my year xj and have the 4 hole spray. So i figured I'd give it a shot, I got the 3 bucks cheaper than the JY set would have been, and they were reman'd. BUT I got them yesterday and the part # doesn't match up with what I previously researched. The part # I got on the injectors I got is: 0280150909 will these work? and will I need to solder clip nuts in? I'm a little confused.
Also, just recently (20 mins ago) I read that I would need to replace my fuel regulator when doing the swap? Is this necessary, I'm all for replacing stuff, I just need to know which one.
I know this might have been covered but I could not find any answers with my searching. Thanks for any help.

Question for anyone that did a k&n intake liter mod. Did you mod the cold air hole on the body of the jeep itself. And has anyone had any issues with water from puddles and etc

Some of you may have read some of my threads, here goes for a few questions and a little background for those who may not have read my posts.
So I bought a total junker jeep, a couple hundred dollars, looks to have been put on it's side but it was from a kid so i didn't think too much of it. I am starting to struggle with the decision of what to do with it. Here is what I know I have going on and what my concerns are:
The floor is gone, the frame (I know there is no "frame") needs patches... I want to tackle this for my own enjoyment and for the experience
The engine has 200k, runs strong, but has 200k. It started smoking last time i drove it about 40 miles, right near the power steering pulley, the pulley is cracked and it smelled like burning rubber, I am thinking it is just the edge of the belt. It makes a dripping noise when cooling down. It is very oily, probably a bad oil filter adapter o ring. The CCV vent hose was disconnected so I am thinking out the valve cover leak as well.
It has trouble shifting into 4l, possibly a linkage misadjustment maybe more? I haven't cracked the transfer case to check it out. Otherwise it shifts and drives well in 4h. I have not yet cracked front or rear diffs to check for oil level or damage.
The exhaust is poorly hung, mainly because the brace from the floor i think is missing. There is no muffler.
The alignment seems great but the right front tire is balding on the inside.
The windshield has a crack, 8 inches long maybe longer.
The passenger doors need replacement because of dents and front is missing a window. Driver door needs a new hinge.
It drives well, I didn't get it for a commuter or even daily driver, just for running errands in the winter and beating around. This is my first car, I feel totally moronic for having purchased it now but I did and I can't turn that back. Is it even reasonable to try and fix this thing or should I junk it and sell off what parts I can? I am struggling to decide what to do, and being new to cars certainly isn't helping. I am not 16 either, just an fyi, I just never needed and still don't need a car. I bought this more planning on making it into a winter beater project.

Considering buying the steering box brace from jcr offroad (with new bolts) also considering doing the Durango steering box upgrade while I'm at it. My question is, will this just be a bolt on swap or will more work be involved because it's a different steering box?

I'm noticing some chatter that sounds like its coming from the fan while im idling. Is there any part of it that is known to crap out after a while? Clutch perhaps? The fan still turns smooth and there is no wobble or anything.
