i have 91 cherokee laredo and everyonce in awhile it wont sart. when i turn the key nothing happens. usually i can wiggle the shifter and it will start after a few tries. is this something that i can fix easily or will it be a big electrical hassle?

Mine does the same thing, my pops came up with the explanation that it doesn't know you are Drive, maybe some kind of sensor? just put it in neutral and it should start right up.

well i kinda want to fix it. my parents might make me sell my jeep (which i am not happy about) and im trying to fix things up a little so i can get the most money out of it.

After I posted that, I started looking into it and came to that same conclusion. Mines doing that same thing he described. After my fuel system upgrades, I may track down that problem.

Those are Gambler rims off a TJ Wrangler. They wouldn't be 15x10 though, they're 15x8 w/ 5.25" backspacing

hello I am new to this forum but have a question for someone who knows jeeps better than I do... I have a 1993 xj it's a 5 speed 4x4.. my question is weather it is full time 4wd and if i put a locker in the front will the driveability be terrible I am away from the jeep on work but I am trying to buy parts to build it while im gone and dont want to order the wrong parts any suggestions
If you put a locker in the front, and you DO have full time 4x4, you'll want to make sure it's a selectable locker, not a luchbox / drop in locker. Meaning you want to be able to disengage the axle locking when in full-time 4x4.

if it is has full time 4x4 it will have that option on the transfer case shifter. If not it will just that 4HI and 4LO options. Note that "full-time" means that you can have it in that position all the time if you wanted, and it will engage/disengage automatically. "part time" is in 4x4 permanently, and only should be used off-road or in slippery/loose conditions, never on pavement.
