True this. I bought my Wranglers at Wal-Fart and they tried TWICE to balance them, each time resulting in some serious vibes that shook all the crap loose that my wife says I am full of. After the second time returning, I got attitude.

Took it to Firestone, and those guys got it the first go and said it was WAY out statically if I recall. Wal-Mart refunded my install/balance costs and I told the ***** who gave me a hard time about it to go pound sand.

Member on here had similar problems with Wally World with not exactly fancy tires. They were saying the reason they wouldn't balance was his alloy rims were somehow bent... You ever seen a "bent" Ecco rim? lmao

Took them to another shop. Balanced fine.

Hunter Road Force is probably the best gig out there. The WalMarts here don't do auto service yet but I suspect they use dowsing rods or something.

I brought my tires and wheels to my local cenex the other day. When i was mounting them on my jeep i noticed some sealer on the inside of the wheels but i figured it wasn't a big deal. Went to go get a Christmas tree today and when i got up to 45 it started shaking. As i sped up it got smoother but i could still feel it. Bought new lug nuts because a few of the caps came off of them and i thought was causing my issue. They didn't fix the problem, it stayed the same all the way home. I might try switching the tires front to back and see if that helps but if it doesn't I'll probably just put my old tires back on for a day and bring the new ones in to get balanced again. I think that's everything.....lol

Yeah the first picture was about 40 minutes before the other two so the sun was up higher for it lol.
And yeah, he really slapped it on there, think that's part of the problem? Because the timing of everything that he did would be that he balanced them with all the extra sealer on and when it finally dispersed after i put them on it would cause them to go out of balance, right?

No. The weight of that amount of seam sealer on there totals up to somewhere between "dick" and "zilch" and is spread out quite evenly. Just accept that his balance sucked *** and go somewhere else lol

Whoops. My bad. I didn't realize it was making noises sitting still. I agree you should be checking the exhaust hangers.

On My 1999 Cherokee Sport with the I6 I am having some issues:

1. My rear hatch open indicator light stays on all the time - Hatch is closed.
2. My rear wiper is not moving.
3. I can hear the washer pump running but no washer fluid is coming out the rear hose.

Can I use a compressor to run some air through the washer hose to make sure it is clear. I can hear the pump running and there is washer fluid in the reservoir o why no fluid from the wiper.

I have taken an initial look at the rear wires and did not see a problem but tomorrow I will get a better look.

Any tips anyone has to help me diagnose this would be appreciated.

Tried search with no luck. Never had select trak before, so my question is how SHOULD it act in 4ft? And how do y'all check to see if the xfer case is working right? For example: if you were looking to buy a Cherokee, how would you check out the 4wd stuff. Especially by yourself, and no good dirt around.

you can hear the t-case engage. On my jeep is makes a whirring sound and will rattle you out of the jeep if you go over 35mph...

Part Time is easy, engage on dry asphalt and if it steers like garbage or the wheel skips it's working! Testing 4WD Full Time without a hoist or ice or gravel or anything is going to be kind of difficult since there's a differential in there. All I can come up with that doesn't involve getting you killed is bring a small jack and some wood or blocks and get all the tires off the ground.

baby oil on all 4 the tires. Put it neutral and rev to 3500. SLAM into drive. If the Xj didnt explode buy it.
