Fret not, we have another option: The front drive shaft from a ZJ is up to 35" long! Do a search on ze Goggle for "ZJ XJ front driveshaft" and you'll find the chart with lengths, part numbers, and model info so you can find one at a JY.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Most people on here seem to do it in an afternoon. Depends on skill and rust level I guess lol.

I'm using Carlilse lock ring pliers and Princess Auto's house brand for snap rings. They're solid non-multi-adapter crap and tool apart my NP231 easily.

New question. In 25 years my '89 Cherokee has never to my recollection had anything done to the CCV system. I'm thinking cleaning / replacement is called for. Question is, what symptoms or harm can result from leaving it all clogged up for too long? Thanks.

No harm or damage. Just replace the grommets/hoses/orifices as needed. Napa supplies the rear hose and grommet as a kit with the orifice.

Renix Vacuum Harnesses

The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367

The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK-715-1366.

The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number 715-1365 and comes with the valve cover grommet.

Question about the Pitman Arm.

How snuggly is it supposed to be on the bottom of the steering box?

Push it 'til it don't go on no more. It is a tapered fit, and won't actually touch the steering box. Pitman shaft nut should be tightened to 185 ft-lbs

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but just in case, is there a way to fix the radiator once it starts leaking from the crimps.

Yes. Sink it in a giant tub of epoxy. No more leaks!

Thanks, that is the info I needed. I just noticed that since I had my seal in the steering box replaced mine has a gap.

Default rough idle, surges when off the gas and terrible gas mileage

Hi guys, new here and need some help, did a few searches but haven't found my exact issue....yet. I have a 94 country, recently put new head gasket on. After install, idle was rough, found a vacuum line off to fuel rail, back on and it smoothed out slightly...not acting like an aggressive cam now. Changed the IAC and MAP...nothing changed. I know this has got to be vacuum leak that I can't find. Bottom line, didn't have this issue until the gasket install...oh, new plugs, wires, cap and button. Thanks, hope this wasn't too redundant. I also have 2 codes, 12 and 14.

3 easy questions.

Would an exhaust header leak cause bad mpg and loss of hp? anything else?

When on the highway using cruise control the rpms jump up when i turn it off (one time to 3000) and kinda stay stuck for a second then back off, Thoughts?

When i look up the PCV valve for my jeep it says its not serviceable(At Advance Auto) is that true? If not does anyone have a P.N. for a new one?

Code 14 points to an issue with the MAP sensor itself or the circuit. That's the box on the firewall right above the valve cover. The vacuum line that runs down to the throttle body frequently gets cracked and it's hard to tell.

Yes, yes, bad smell, carbon monoxide poisoning, funny noises.

How are you turning the cruise off? Switch or tapping the brake pedal? What was the RPM prior to shutting cruise off?

Yeah, there's no PCV valve and the CCV elbow is indeed not serviceable.

You have a 1998 right?
