It might ll be unnecessarily heavier but not a deal breaker. Gussets do exact same purpose but is lighter while doesn't sacrifice strength

Any of you used the dirtbound offroad cable shift linkage? My np242 pops out of 4lo when I get one of my front tires really jammed up on a rock. Been doing it even on mild hill climbs lately and it's really kinda embarrassing to hear"dude put you jeep in 4x4" lol
I know it could be that little white washer I have heard about but I would like to get rid of the stock linkage for good.

Dunno about the linkage but yes sounds like your stock stuff is out of adjustment. Maybe your uniframe is flexing a bit too eh

Maybe just a little doing things like this don't help much either

I'm ordering hd frame stiffeners Friday and then after those get burnt in I'm gonna cut up to the door seals and put a stick of 2x6 on there. Brace from that to the unibody with 2x2.
All that= no unibody flex
I found a thread where a guy reviewed the linkage and said it felt great. Just was wondering if anyone had any experience with it before I spent 170$ on freaking t case linkage lol

Boostwerks gets great reviews, but he currently isn't selling a 242 linkage. It's being redesigned.

Wet pavement
Snow
