Obviously not always the case, but contamination could have caused your last chunk of oil to thin out prematurely, and the new oil is back up to grade?

When using an oversize filter for the first time do I need to add an extra quart? Every jeep is different and the dipstick is your friend, but I'm just asking for a general sense

Need to add extra oil every time. Fill filter half-way, add most of your oil, run engine until you get oil pressure for a few seconds, then kill it and check the dipstick for a few minutes. I never just go by amounts.

Oil does not need "stabilizing". Especially not with something 100x the viscosity if what should be in your engine with none of the important additives. Especially not with a product that is known to cause foaming in normal use.
It's snake oil.

It does kill rats and roaches with a little modification....

Do you have a recommendation? My engine has 150k(241401.6km) of hard California dessert use and poor maintenance intervals. It has a light tick... Will be using Rotella 10w30 synthetic blend

Doesn't stand for anything. It's the letter designation that Jeep gave to the series of vehicles.

I had a shot to buy one a few years ago and I wasn't quick enough.
