Easiest way to drain the entire cooling system is to pop off the lower radiator hose. Make sure you have a LARGE bucket to catch all the coolant. You'll want to replace the lower hose when done - this is a given anyway as they're regular maintenance items.

Total capacity is three or four gallons of 50/50. You can buy pre-mixed stuff or do it the cheap way by buying the 'concentrate' and mixing it 1:1 with distilled water. Way cheaper to get distilled water than buy the 50/50 mix.

Correct coolant is the green ethelyne glycol stuff. Usually labelled "multi-vehicle". If you see other colors, or anything like "DEXCOOL", that's not it lol

Ahhh yeah I remember the hard lines now. Didn't put them together immediately.

Giggity. I'd like to see how that turns out.

Mixing it for yourself FTW. In using peak green coolant right now myself. Changed the radiator and hoses (stock radiator crapped out so I figured hoses are probably stock too bwahhahaahhahaa)

Mix it in an empty gallon container first and pour into radiator directly. Iirc that is bad if you don't have a cap on the overflow container. It's was either because it can't pressurize or because if it ever gets empty then air can get into the radiator but not sure if those were true.

Anyone replaced the hinge pins & bushings in the XJ doors ? My driver's door is sagging enough to let the top weather strip make wind noise.
I've been all over the internet looking for pins & bushings. Lots of those around for the Grand Cherokee but not for my '94 XJ...

I don't know if you're interested, but this would be a good opportunity to do the doorless mod. You can remove the hinge pin, drill out the hole, and drop in a bolt. It'll get rid of slop and allow you to take of the doors whenever you want
Just throwing the idea out there. I'm not sure about replacing the OEM hinge equipment

Not likely that I would ever remove the doors, but thanks for the suggestion.

I may have to make my own parts or use pins from a different car etc & make new bushings.

Did you ever try Sea Foam? I've used it in five or six motors and it cleaned out and stopped the lifter noise. Run it for about 100 miles or so.

Can't wait. This year is the year in finally going doorless.

Try rock auto and maybe Google. If someone is parting their jeep maybe snag one from them
