I'm considering adding a heavy winch bumper and winch to my spacer lifted 2" front end. To keep myself at 2" should I be adding 3" coils to account for the sag? And removing spacer obviously. I don't want to be above 2" because of adding more parts like track bar etc.

Yes most likely. The final number depends on how much all the stuff weighs but you're on the right track

Default what is this thing?

Assuming the picture works, can anyone tell me what this thing is coming out the back of my steering wheel? I believe it connects to the clock spring guessing by how stiff the cable is... I only ask because it's a hot bastard and I'd like to know if hot is good for it. Thanks if anyone can enlighten me. If not, I'll start combing through the FSM... all 1700ish pages of it.

That doesn't say not to use 10w30 below freezing. In fact it is still the recommended oil for 32 degrees F below freezing.

My book is different, its a 98 book but it doesn't say anything about 5w30 being good for all temps. Lol I think I'm going to give the Shell 5w40 a try. Some say using synthetic oil on used motors seems to find weak/worn seals much faster than regular oils but we'll see I guess. I apologize if this became an annoyance to anyone
