Anyone know if I can successfully cannibalize an IAC from my 93 cherokee to my 96 GC. They're the same part, but I just don't know if it will hurt the valve to move. Can't afford a new one till payday, and I'd like to see if changing it fixes my issues with the GC. Anyone with experience?

Thoughts/opinions on jeep liberty's? Considering getting one and what are the known pros and cons of them? I don't like the front IFS, But I like the interior, imo much more room and more comfortable than xj's. This one in particular has a low mile 3.7 in it and is mechanically sound. Can you combine the 2" and 3" lift similar to adding spacers and shackles on the xjs to give it a 5" lift and run 33's or is in way more involved (as I fear) I love the 3 link style rear with the chyro 8.25. And all the room under the hood. Feel free to tell me your experiences or opinions. If any helpful links are out there, post please. I would love to research them more. (Edit, I'm not a jeep newbie. I was a seasoned member here but forgot my login info.) for what That's worth

Cons: 3.7 V6, 2.8 CRD, looks like a New Beetle
They can be built with a mild lift. Honestly I think 3" might be pushing it with the IFS. Control arms need replacing or you get negative camber if I recall correctly. Check out http://lostjeeps.com/
If you want to clean the combustion chambers, special treatments like BG 44K or Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner will do the job. Or - much cheaper - is the tried and true method of simply using water.
Some data on which I base my opinions:
Realistically if you run good oil, change it when you're supposed to, and run good fuel you will never have an issue. Most mechanics who are the honest types and not trying to sell you muffler bearings and piston return springs will tell you the same thing.
No, I don't lick fish.
I'm guessing auto-correct smacked you in the face with this one... did you mean "speakers"? If so, they are 5.25" At least that's what fit in mine HLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIKEAGLOVE!

No, I don't lick fish.
Pros: NV3550, 2.8 CRD, C8.25 with discs, similar size and weight to XJ
Cons: 3.7 V6, 2.8 CRD, looks like a New Beetle

Feedback varies. Done through the engine oil it behaves like any light solvent and dissolves crud (if you don't have any, obviously there's nothing to dissolve...). Done through the fuel system it can SOMETIMES help with varnishes and deposits. Done through the intake is mostly a smoke show that make people feel like "it's doing something" and just **** of the neighbors. It's kind of like how a loud muffler makes your vehicle sound more powerful... big smoke show makes you think you didn't just waste a can of naptha doing nothing.

I have heard good things about Marvel Mystery Oil... the JP guys seem to like it a lot too. Salad - what are your thoughts?
