if you plan to lift it higher you should just live with the sag until the big lift and be sure to get full spring packs for the rear no add a leafs

I suspect the wider, more aggressive tires that usually go with a lift are more to blame than the slight increase in frontal area, but I don't have any empirical data on which to base that suspicion.

Well since most ppl change tires after a lift since they don't like how stock tires look I'd say yes. And also yes to your question. Not as much as the oversized wheels but it'll knock the number down but can't tell you an exact number though

Ok, as always...i am in need of your infinite wisdome. In the engine picture i have highlighted a part that seems to be broke off when the plastic peice turns to hose. A friend said to just plug it, should I? what is it? also the engine is a 4.0 liter....n thats all i know. What type of engine is it? And finally the close-up picture with nothing highlighted shows an obvious broken or dis-lodged part. I feel like it could be an oil sending unit...anyone know? isn't the oil sending unit usually on the side of the engine? I was losing oil when i picked it up, i believe this is where. The oil pressure guage does not work, its an 89 cherokee laredo...is it an electronic guage? Please help

ALso... anyone have a matching wheel for this? (89 cherokee laredo) the previous owner broke the edge of the rim in the snow on a tree...

I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 with automatic transmission. I had been having problems with it starting up.. so I'd have to hit the gas while turning it over, but I'd have to hold the gas at a steady rpm or it would die out on me. I'd have to push the brake and hold the gas to take it from park to drive (or reverse) and keep driving for a minute with the gas on or it would die on me. I realize now that probably wasn't the best idea to hold the gas and brake down (even just for 2 seconds at a time) at the same time. Last night, I noticed after I had to brake suddenly that there was a popping noise coming from what sounded like the underside of my car. this morning I left for work and it was still doing it but driving fine, then it popped and jerked. a minute or two later my car had this extremely loud grinding sound and my RPM's went up really high.. like 5 and up. So I braked (was going 30 mph uphill) and when I tried to put it in Park it hesitated and it seemed like it wanted to shift itself back into drive. Turned the car off. Put it in neutral and was able to back down the street into a parking lot. I started it up again and it seemed fine, once I pulled off though it popped again so I just left my car parked there. Did I tear up my transmission or could it be something else? Any help is really very much appreciated. Hoping it's not the transmission because I really love my jeep.
