And thus cause all sorts of nasty misfires?

Ok so I'm in a predicament here, it's pretty cold out like 3 degrees outside, my 99 jeep cherokee with a 4.0 first started this problem where it would have the voltmeter drop, it ran fine and everything was good for a while, but it started running terrible and everything inside my car died except for the jeep which was close to dying, so I parked it to get food and wouldn't start back up, it barely cranked and there was a ticking from the starter, so after I came back out after about an hour, I started it up and it started up and idled but very poorly, I tried to drive for a bit and it wanted to die, I was driving down the road for a bit and boom. It went back to normal headlights were fine and radio came back on but still the voltmeter was still down, I finally get home and park it and start it back up, it ran again like nothing was wrong, no check gauges or anything, so my question is what the hell is going on? Is it my battery? Alternator? Or because it's so cold?
I had the same thing happen when the fuse between the alt and battery blew out but was still making intermittent contact. When the pieces were touching, the jeep had 14v from the alternator, but when they separated it was only the battery and losing voltage quickly.
You can get similar scenario if the field terminals on the back of the alternator come loose, and the ECM can no longer command the alternator to charge

2000 Cherokee Solenoid
In having work done to my Cherokee, the bolts connecting the solenoid to the starter were misplaced, and when I bought replacements to reconnect the solenoid, the plunger fell out and although I thought I put it back in correctly, my Jeep won't start. It started and ran fine before the solenoid was disconnected. Does anyone have a diagram of the solenoid from a 2000 Cherokee 4.0L 6Cylinder? I've googled the crap out of it, and can't find anything that shows the solenoid separate from the starter. I had considered just replacing the entire starter, but don't want to spend $160 if I don't have to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think I've found a question to stump all of y'all. I suppose the exterior trim is supposed to be black but boy does it gave a nice even gray hue to it. However the plastic housing for my exterior mirrors are crazy black with no hint of that creepy looking ashy dead gray. If, and I say if, the body trim is supposed to be black, why didn't the genius engineers at Chrysler use the material the mirror housings are made of? (Please forgive me for ending a sentence with a preposition)

What happened is the alternator stopped charging, and you ran on battery power for a while, then "boom" (?) and the alternator started charging again I had the same thing happen when the fuse between the alt and battery blew out but was still making intermittent contact. When the pieces were touching, the jeep had 14v from the alternator, but when they separated it was only the battery and losing voltage quickly. Your car consumes a bunch of electricity just running the engine. Ignition, fuel pump, injectors, etc. Without the alternator it will use up the battery reserve within 30 minutes or so. Plus it will run like a turd because the battery is only providing 12v (peak charge--it can drop pretty quick) and you are usually getting 14v from the alternator.

No joke. You read that right. A gecko crawled in and got fried and shorted it out. Wierd contaminants like random reptiles will shorten alternator life or cause intermittent charging. Just get it checked out at vatozone, advance, etc...

I can take it. LOL.
Dissing Renix is what's called "pigeon mentality"
I'm afraid explaining to you would be like playing chess with a pigeon.
It wouldn't matter how skilled I am, the bird would knock over the pieces, crap on the board and strut around like it's victorious.
In your attitude, you are very similar to such a bird.
Why should I bother with structured examples, when it's clear that you won't debate, but instead disqualify without reason.
