They still were very slow and would not finish a pass if the windshield wasn't wet, and even wet they were not very impressive.
I took out the whole mechanism, cleaned and lubricated it, and verified it moved with the greatest of ease. No binding at all.
I changed the motor, and still no improvement. I checked the voltage at the plug to a ground on the body (remember that too) and got 12V, so I ordered another motor, assuming the one I bought a couple of weeks earlier was defective.
(A quick note: I do not live in the states. There is no Post Office in this country, so returning things is next to impossible.)
I installed the second motor, and still no luck.
So, I have a new motor, Checked the voltage from the plug to a body ground, and everything seems fine. Still slow wipers.
I start from scratch, and start checking everything again.
What do I find? The wire from the dash ground to the body is pulled off. I must have hit it with my foot at some point and pulled it off.
I reconnected that, and lo and behold, they work almost normally. Almost.
They're not super fast, but the go back and forth, and park properly, wet or not. What's funny is they seem to work the best when they are in delay mode. I may end up changing the turn signal stalk at some point, but I'm good for now.
I can live with that, but if a S10 motor fits and adds some speed, I'm all for it. I like wipers that slam back and forth like a banshee.
I can't emphasize how important it is to review grounds. When I started reading here after buying the beast, I checked grounds to see if they were tight, but didn't pull them off to clean them and reconnect. That crap came back to haunt me after a couple of months.

Which one of these valve cover gaskets is the best from your experience? Basically they're all rubber or rubber with steel core, but all varying prices, so I have no idea which one to go for.

Here is my story. My wipers were very slow as well. When I first bought it, I went through Cruisers renix tips, and attached a wire from the dash ground bolt to a body bolt near the hood release ****. (remember that)

Remove the delay module and plug the connectors together. What happens?

WJ radio codes
Hi guys
Yesterday I purchased a UK 2000 GC 4.0L and wit ha relatively low mileage of 40k and its in great nick
The only problem I have is that I have 2x Radio codes (!) in the handbook. The instruction manual does not say what buttons to press and it keeps blocking me out with "WAIT" message
One code is 1963, and one is 5523 _ I ma not sure which is which. But are any of you fine fellows out there able to advise how to "key" or input the numbers correctly so I can check out the impressive looking sound system!?

Window motor?
The front passenger window on my 88 just quit working. It has been slowing down over the last few years but now it is dead and does not operate from either switch. All others work.
Can the motor be replaced without replacing the regulator? I can find a motor on Rock Auto but no regulator.
If so, is there a link for a description on how to replace it?

did the cherokee ever come with a plastic fuel tank? i believe they did per my research but not sure if so what year. i have a 1996 xj and it has a om617 diesel with a fuel cell which i dont like and would like some kind of oem tank but the stock steel one is galvanizing on it and diesel eats away galvanizing.so i want a plastic xj tank if one exist

Planning on doing a TUPY 0331 head swap on my 01 cherokee this weekend. I found the head on an 03 grand cherokee, so it has the idler pulley on the head. Can I just remove the idler pulley and slap it on my jeep or do I need to do some modifications/ seal off the bolt hole?
