Been trying to find an answer to this question for a while, hopefully someone CA answer this for me. On 35s, do I need adjustable ball joints. A shop installed them for me a long time ago now after my old ones were shot claiming I need them to align the 35s. My axle isn't bent or damaged in any way. Will decent heavy duty ball joints hold a 0* camber angle with 35s?

Outlaw Star, you're fantastic - thank you! Now all I have to do is replace it.

I've never used offset ball joints. I simply use quality parts

Alright with 37s and 8 inches of lift I'll take your word for it. Which brand do you use just curious? Anything cheaper but still made for offroad/larger tires? I'm looking at Synergy or Dynatrac right now.

Good old fashioned Moog.

Part numbers are for a '92 XJ/'93 YJ. Verify compatibility for your application

Spicer ball joints for the win - OE ones last 15-20 years on stock setup, and yes, they DO make them like they used to!

There's no getting around larger tires wearing out ball joints faster, save for upgrading to a better axle. I don't see how a chop would recommend adjustable ball joints - they don't compensate for wear (pro tip: there's no reversing that) and XJs are supposed to have 0 camber.

I attempted to replace my tensioner pulley tonight. I have a loud belt squeal when I used my AC and I believe that is the issue. At $20 and 200k miles, ill replace it even if it isnt the issue. I bought part number 89097 from Advance Auto Parts and it came with a small washer that fits inside the pulley center to make it the size of the original bolt.
I used the original large washer that sandwiches between the pulley and tensioner bracket. I also used the washer that sandwiches between the bolt head and pulley. But when I tighten the bolt, the pulley is just a hair away from the tensioner bracket. The bolt was all the way tight, it couldnt have gotten any tighter.
What am I doing wrong? What order do these pieces specifically go on? Is there a different part number I should have instead of this one?

Thank you

^ Belt squeal when AC is turned on is usually due to belt not being tight enough. Did you try tightening it first?

I did. It seems to be very tight. It now squeals occasionally at start up. Usually as soon as the compressor kicks on, the belt squeals extremely loud. Sometimes I can turn the AC on when Im driving, but within 5 minutes the belt goes crazy.

Default 2015 jeep Cherokee limited 4 wheel drive temporary unavailable

My 4 wheel drive goes out when I drive on the sand. Dealership is telling me my jeep is all wheel drive and was not built to drive on flat beach. Called jeep they want me to take it to the delarship where I bought it over 300 miles away. Jeep also asked me if my 4 wheel drive was all wheel drive. Jeep doesn't make all wheel drive for 2015

Anybody have a similar problem

No problem. Good luck with your issue. Also make sure you put the trim and engine of your Cherokee so people can give right answers. Welcome to CF

The belt is brand new, maybe 300 miles on it now. It is tightened close to factory specs. Used a friend's jeep belt tension to get it close.
