Something is def loose and is being stressed when you race the engine but as for what Im trying to picture. Cause when I race mine I here everything going nits but no crazy vibes. As for the driveshaft our xjs are RwD so the front wheels don't do much at all under normal conditions. you will be able to sloghty spin it but not as if it was in use

I just installed a H4 high wattage headlamp harness and it inverted the high/low beam switch function. There must be a miswire in the harness right out-of-the-box. No wonder it made the low beams seem brighter than before! If you installed this kit then you need to test your high/low beam switch function vs. actual illumination of headlamps.

Could be the relay. I used the harness for a chevy from LMC trucks and it would great. It's rated for 100/90w. I can even hear the relay switch over when I flick my high beams

Well alrighty then! Hopefully he'll catch my post about this H4 high wattage headlamp harness and test his high/low switch function vs. actual beams. There may be a miswire in it that's common to all (else I got the one they f*&ked up).

The vibration does not happen unless the vehicle is moving. So with the t-case in 2 wheel drive, my front drive shaft might move 1/8 of a rotation at MOST. My wifes 04 exterra's front driveshaft will spin a full turn before it locks up, my neighbors older TJ, you can spin the front driveshaft as much as you want until you put it in 4 wheel drive. maybe i am not asking the right question. with your t-case in 2 wheel drive, can you turn your front drive shaft by HAND ?

Not only a slight bit. I think if the car is a awd car it will since that's normal function but I just know when my rig is off in 2wd my front driveshaft only spins a slight bit

I can hear the relays too. All my lamps work fine, but for the inversion...

I'm going back in to test the new harness. If I find what I suspect then I'll either pop-out & swap pins/leads if possible or cut & splice a crossover in the wires of the harness input connector.

ok, perfect. I was starting to think my 4wd was not disengaging properly. I am thinking my vib has to be the tranny mount. I just hate to spend $80 on something without knowing thats going to fix it. I am out of other ideas tho ... Thanks for the help !

If you can put your car on a lift or all 4 Tires with the car off go into neutral and then shift to 4wd and start car. Go into gear and all tires will spin. Then you cN shut car reverse process and restRt And only rear will run. You can do this or find a good steep hill run 4wd do hill and repeat in 2wd

Edit: also you'll know if it doesn't disengage especially of it didn't and you take a turn you'll feel the axel bind up

I wish it wasn't dark out I would take pics of mine. I hope you can find the problem cause those harnesses are the best. I'm tempted to run 80w bulbs but I don't wanna overkill it cause I really don't need that high of watts in the city

Me and a couple friends are going to do OMG road and Yankee Hill tomorrow so I guess that will tell me for sure if 4wd is working properly. Nothing too serious but should provide chances to check it out.
