I currently have a chrysler 8.25 axle in the rear, what gearing is in it? I believe everything is stock still. Im currently running 235's and get about 18 mpg. Can I lift it and put 31's on or will I have to regear or axle swap? If I dont have to change anything, will there be a noticeable decrease in gas mileage?

if he has a 29 spline rear 8.25 hes fine for 33s. and he would be "OK" with 35s. As long as he dont wheel hard all the time. I have a late modle 96 and i most likely have the 29 spline. The u joints are bigger than normal in my front axle shafts and my rear axle yoke looks diff than 27 spline yokes ive seen. if i do im gonna lock the rear with a no-slip and go 33s.

New LED headlights, signal stopped working
I installed aftermarket Halo LED and eyebrow projector headlights on a 2001 Grand Cherokede Laredo. Initially all appeared to work. Low beam, high beam, halo, eyebrow and signal light. Next time I turned tha car on, only low and high beams worked. I tapped into my parking/signal light assembly. 2 ground (black) wires from headlight to ground (black) then the 2 white wires to the Minor (parking light) wire of the assembly. Some research indicates I may also need a new flasher relay which can hadle the LED's.
