Only a very few trip odometers run past 1000...
I'd just write down the mileage at which the engine was replaced somewhere handy. Subtraction is free and you can do it in your head!
I'm sure such an odometer exists but they're typically paired with a specific speedometer sending unit and not able to take input from the CCD bus.

Does anyone know where I could pick up a used intermediate plate for a 99 Cherokee sport? I have had to crack in the past month and have no idea why it keeps happening!!! Can anyone help? The plate that bolts to the intermediate plate is cupped away from the trans and was wondering if it is supposed to be that way or is it supposed to be flat? Please help!!!!!!

So I'm in the process of putting a crate motor in my 2000 xj. Long story. But I was looking at putting in a aftermarket odometer so I know how many miles are on the new engine ( I'm terrible of keeping track of that kind of stuff) but I also want my stock odometer to work so I know what milage the body has. Anyone got any recommendations on a way about doing this or even a good brand of gauge? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

WRITE IT DOWN!!
In your Owners Manual there is a place at the back for maintenance Logging,.. there you write about the swap that you did an the exact mileage for when you installed the new engine.
So when ever you want to figure t out , you look at the log and subtract that number from the Odometer.. Yes I know it's Math, but if you cannot do basic Algebra easily, than you have no business swapping an engine ..lol

oil pressure sender
2000 XJ, 145k km, Canadian Market.
Last week Oil pressure gauge went to 0. Finding all sorts written about duff senders, I replaced it. No change.
I found some diagnostic info online, and I've run the gauge diagnostic. Seems fine, gauges step up and move in 2 second intervals. Oil pressure included.
I've pulled connector, I have 5v reference voltage at pin 1 of the sender connector. On pin 3, I am supposed to have ground from what I've researched. Is this ground in reference to Jeep body or battery, or only sender ground? I get no measurable resistance on pin 3, which says sensor ground.
Is sensor ground just back to pin 4 on the PCM?

Does anyone know what the little metal pieces that insert into the valve cover grommets are called? Or where to find a replacement?
One of the little buggers ran off while I was replacing the valve cover gasket.

Ahhh those things... torque limiting sleeves, I believe is the name. I haven't seen them for sale, but any newer Jeep engine at the junk yard'll have them. I think the 2.5L uses the same doohickeys.

Alright. Thanks guys. I'm probably just gunna keep track of milage the old fasoned way. I was just checking options. Also another question with this project. The place I'm getting my engine from can put a bigger cam in it. Now I was told several things. Want to figure this out before I order it. Am I gunna need a tune or tuner for my new 4.0 if it has a bigger cam in it. There's two cams to chose from besides stock. A mild one and an extreme one. Didn't get details from the guy. Just curious what all I need to make a different cam work if anythnig. Thanks again in advance guys

Great Plan, but also make sure you write down the mileage at the time of the swap. In-case you want to sell the rig later on, you can show them .. The best way would be to write it on the receipt you get for the engine and stick it into the owners manual, or writing everything down in the back page of the owners manual like I had mentioned earlier, if your not getting a receipt for the engine.

So I'm in need of a new u joint in my passenger side hub. My question is looking at my options I can get a greasesble or non-greasesble u joint. The non is cheaper and honestly I don't see how I would be able to grease the greasesble.
