Removed the door panels today to replace the driver's side door stop and both front speakers. Really pleased with how clean the inner area of the doors and the condition of the paint inside. Did have two questions come up that a search didn't help with.
1) How important is the plastic sheeting between the door panel and the door frame. The vehicle wasn't intended to be a daily driver but the more I drive it the better I like it. However, road noise itself isn't an issue, any other purposes?
2) Found this spring (pic) inside the door. All opening/locking mechanisms worked, as did the window. The window did sound "course" going up, but not in a manner I'd think a spring would cause. Any ideas?

the plastic sheet is to keep dust and stuff from getting onto the switches and stuff I think... Why do you want to remove it... If it is falling off and stuff just take duct tape and make it double sided. The spring looks like it is from your door check

Dirty Kurty, Thanks for the reply...and yes, after posting this, I went back out and replaced the door stop, and the other half of the spring was still attached.
As for the sheet, I was just curious if it was worth working around or just yanking off. I gambled and pulled it off to get it out of the way and it came off in one piece, easily, so I can (and will) glue it back just as easily with some spray adhesive once I'm done in the doors.
I'm not sure if it will register a code since I just reset the battery after changing out the fuel injectors. Wouldn't it be to early to detect a code?

If it is too early, there will be a code that says the battery was recently disconnected
So I'm trying to find this leaky injector. Not sure on fuel theory though. To test whether or not it's just an o-ring, do I pull the rail and set the injector tips in some plastic bottles, turn key on engine off and see which one is leaking? If none of them are, is it an o-ring issue? Hate to replace those expensive buggers if it's just a cracked o-ring.
NO, man! If you turn the key on with the injectors just in the rail, you'll blow them out of the rail! That's why the rail is bolted down. The top 0-ring seals fuel pressure in the rail and the bottom one just seals them into the manifold (vacuum). If you can find some way to plug the fuel line after disconnecting it from the rail, you can charge it and see if it's the pump check valve or not. You'd have to put the injectors into some kind of a fixture to test them under pressure.

It keeps water that drains down the window glass from coming into the door panel and cabin.
