Is that a rotor or a drum? Hard to tell. Anyways, no, either way you won't need to take that off. Use some pb blaster on it and maybe even a hammer. Also, if it is the drum, make sure you back off the shoes by the star wheel from the access hole behind it. ask any questions you would like.

It's a rotor from a disc brake. I can't get the damn thing off. So just keep tapping it with a hammer on the sides and what not till it pops off?

Yup, and try and use some pb blast by the center hub, it looks pretty rusted on there. After that, hammer away!

thank you fer helping with my starter question. i freaked out like crazy, went outside and looked again..i had it already hooked up the right way. it's alot different then fixin one on a chevy celeb, on the celeb i had to hook the + and - to the starter. again thanks fer the help.

Was this tcase strong enough to consider using off road? It sounds like that would give you the option of 2wd Lo, which would be nice occasionally. Im looking for a way to basically turn onn and off the front or rear axle as needed without installing manual hubs. Though rare, it would be nice to be able to run just front axle if needed (breakage, special situations). Though not quite there, it still sounds like this np207 would be a little closer, unless its really 4wd full time and just used the vac disco to "disingage" the front axle.

Ok... going to go with a 3 inch lift on my 89 cherokee. 31 inch tires. 15x8 wheels.... anyone got a picture of a similar setup so i can be satisfied with how i think its going to look. I keep changing my mind about this.
