but it's a Dana 35 or a Dana turdy 5 or a grenade with the pin pulled. Didn't cost me much at all. Don't need a lot just a junkyard. I'd take a little more money and a lot more strength over easy and cheap any day.

Agreed. The 8.25 has been proven to be the better axle over the Dana 35

Alright, guys, it's been more than a page. Let's not chase him off the site lol
The late model 8.25 is, by design, a stronger axle than the D35. But he's already done it, and he's happy with it.

Beach Bum
Front shock
My 2001 xj already has 2 inch suspension lift on it. I got some very cheep mud tires on there and now have an irregular trend ware on the front left tire. What could be causing this? is it a stabilization problem? blown front shock? or just ****ty tires?
If you know what vehicles it came in from the factory, than the following website will find it. It is a salvage yard directory. http://www.car-part.com/

That said I've never heard of a yard actually taking inventory of the gear ratio of axles lying around lol

My heater/AC box is leaking water out onto my floor mat and I'm constantly having to dump it out. No it's not antifreeze. I'm guessing the AC drain hole is clogged up. But no matter where I look I can't find any info on how to unclog it. There is tons of info for the ZJ but not for the XJ. Anybody know of any threads or as to how I unclog it? Thanks.

so just pull the rubbler hose off and clean it. What about the actual plastic nipple hanging off the housing. Just. Poke it with screw driver? Lol
Edit: never mind. Pulling the hose off was all it needed. Now I'm soaking wet! Lol. Hose is definitely clogged. Cruiser once again saves the day!

If the hole in the housing is clogged, I generally use an air chisel to clean it out.
