i went ahead and ordered a new one from RockAuto to be safe. Only thing is that the newer designs don't have the hole for the sensor to go into. Found a few threads with people having similar problems but nobody ever posted their solution. Searched all over the place and can't find the same style evaporator as the oem one. Hopeful I can figure out a way to make it work. If anybody ran into this problem and found a solution, please let me know.

Does anybody know if the headrests in '99 XJ leather seats comes out completely? Bought some, assumed they did, but can't get them out. Not sure if it is me or they just don't come out.
Won't go into 4 lo.
I recently switched out my transfer case in my 2000 cherokee classic (242 j). It goes into neutral but, not 4 lo. I also adjusted the linkage. Can anyone help please??

You have to hit the button on the seat, if that makes sense. Or turn the button. I can't remember exactly and I've swapped out my seats

So I remember reading that there were some xjs that had inferior (to the 4.0) engines that couldn't be upgraded to the 4.0 because of a firewall issue. Was that just the early amc ones with the gm v6?
Locally I'm seeing some Comanches and 2 doors with the 4 banger for cheap and I'm wondering if it's worth it to grab one for a swap later.

The shift linkage adjuster is set with lever in cab and lever on transfer case in 4-low.
Loosen adjuster, manually shift tab on transfer case into 4-low, same with cab lever, then tighten adjuster.
Also, sometimes the vehicle needs to roll forward or back an inch or so to be able to shift into 4-low.

So here is something. I always toy with the idea of having a 8.25 rear with a factory limited slip paired with a Select-A-Trac in my '00. Thinking it would be better for getting around in the snow which is one of many reasons I own a Jeep. Do not off road anymore. Have the Command Trac with a regular 8.25 3.55 rear now. So can you take something like this and change a rear that is not a factory limited slip to one that is?

Also he does not list the gear ratio in the posting. Forgive lack knowledge about diffs and what not but doesn't that matter? Or does a carrier like that go with any gear ratio?
