Yes H4 halogen bulbs. Although the nighthawks did appear brighter especially after the harness upgrade.

Okay, seriously, though.. When it doesn't start, do you hear anything? Is it silent, our is there one click and then silence, or does it crank and try to start?

I cant seem to find any information on removing the valve pan cover (left) on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7l V8,
i believe i have a blown head gasket but i am still trying to get to the heads, i have already removed the right (driver side) valve pan cover and im wanting to see if i could get any pointers on how to remove the left (passenger side) valve pan cover, im not sure of what all to remove to make it easier to get to the bottom set of bolts on the valve pan any tips/pointers would be greatly appreciated. thank you

RE: My XJ randomly turning off / gauges die.
It seems to happen any time the trans hits 4th gear, or about 3-5 minutes into driving it. Not sure which it is, because I always hop on the highway that far into my driving. But only that once. Hiccup free for an hour or two of driving, usually good on the way back home even if it has sat for a bit.

Default Power steering noise

Ok I know someone out there has an answer. I have a new to me '99 Cherokee with 256,000 on it. I have gone through and checked replaced a whole bunch of stuff (mostly common issues). I'm no mechanic but relatively handy. I'm stumped on this power steering noise I'm getting. Mostly in reverse, the steering makes this low groan/wine like the pulley isn't turning but it goes away within a few seconds. I've heard it twice now at a really low speed, like 5 mph and at almost full tilt. The belt looks brand new (I didn't change it). It's tight with no play. I'm not getting play in the steering wheel either and for the most part the steering is pretty tight. The fluid level is fine and I'm not seeing any leaks. Any idea where to start?

How does the fluid look? Might need a flush.

Yep. Bare minimum suck the old fluid out with a turkey baster and add new.

By next Thanksgiving, the fluid will be evaporated from the baster.

I feel it gives the turkey that special home cooked taste after using haha


But on an honest note, The fluid in the power steering is always over looked that stuff gets old and nasty full of moisture.

I can't count how many times a flushed fixed strange sounds and actions
