Your fuel pump MAY be louder if you bypass it. That is all.

Last night i did some random wheeling at a buddies farm for about an hour or so. On my way into work today i am feeling at low speeds a 'bump' coming from the driver front wheel. Thinking its a hub/bearing? Was planning on doing those in a month or so but might just do it now if it is something sorta quick. If i pull on the tire/wheel while it is just sitting i do have some play and receive the same bump as if i was going down the road.

Depends if it is stock question just put it in here the oem ask question thread. If it is something bigger you can create a thread for it but if it is a mod then go under forum tab and select modified cherokee chat and post your question there. Lots of cool people here and they will help any way they can.

If it is stock related you can ask it here or go to here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/ and at the top left there is a blue button that says post new thread.

Got some new pads for the front -- should I replace rotors that only have ~40k on them and look pretty good (though I cant check thickness), or just get em turned for $15/rotor?

They are centric premium rotors that are about 4 years old at this point. New ones are $30 each

EDIT:
Or I can get Napa Ultra Premium (centric) that have better warranties and apparently cover cracking for $37 each

I slept on it and remembered that I have overheated my brakes twice now (once off-road on a really long descent and once during a snowstorm coming down i70 from Summit County)

The rotors still look OK, but I did a quick ebay search and found a brand new open-box set of 120.67022's for $26 each

http://www.ebay.com/itm/381950477281

Saved $14 over the cheapest retailer I could find (Amazon I think), and turning my current rotors would have only saved me $20 which isn't worth it.

I'll probably try and sell my current ones for ~$10 on craigslist and help someone out that can't afford new rotors or something, they still look pretty good.

Does the 97-01 XJ's have ground issues like the previous generations?

I have a major electrical disaster on my hands (intermittent charging, door locks work but make lots of racket, windows go up and down as slow as molasses, instrument cluster shows mileage and sweeps during self test, however doesn't show any kind oil pressure, speed (engine or vehicle), voltage, or coolant temp.)

I know some of these aren't exactly related but with the amount of issues and how weird things are, ground seems to be the answer.

I've NEVER heard of refreshing grounds causing a catastrophe. Just do it.

That's true, I remember reading your tips on the older XJs. I've started on a few and the Jeep runs great but doesn't always charge and I don't always know what it's doing.

Default Help

I have a question I've got a 1990 Cherokee with 4.0. It's not firing on injector 3 and 4. I've replaced the tps crank sensor cleaned the iac. New wires plugs cap and rotor. New rebuilt injectors also. If I switch the wire from injector 2 to3 three works same with 4. Will the ecu cause this. I'm at a loss and got to get my keep up and running

Sounds like you lost a couple of injector drivers in the ECU.
Or, the signal is somehow not making it from the ECU to those injectors.

Not all of the same flaws but it's mostly the same ****ty AMC design with ****ty Chrysler work. Amazing things will happen on these things with a little rust!

Fix yer grounds
