Or use hammered finish Rustoleum. It's pretty forgiving about inconsistent coats, and it'd give your Jeep a unique look

Looking at the Rock Auto website, there doesn't seem to be a differentiation between d35 and the 8.25

So I think you're good, man.

trying to remove my axle shafts in my 8.25. It has a lunchbox in it. I assume the C clip is still in there. how should I go about removing it? Bought it with the locker in it so im not sure what all goes into removing the C clip

So.... I gotta paint the beast. I'm starting to get a few small rust spots I need to address before they get worse.
Currently it's Matte Black. When I had it painted, there wasn't another vehicle to be seen with matte paint, now I can't go 1/4 mile without seeing one.
What do you guys think? Leave it matte black, or go back to Gloss Black.
I'm on the fence because I like both.
I still have the grey trim that was on the lower edge of the body, but I'm not feeling it.

The center pin holds the shafts out, the c clips hold the shafts in. You have to take out the c clips to get anywhere really. Why are you so opposed to taking out the c clips? They're really easy to put back in haha. I'm rolling off of memory from installing mine but I'm pretty sure the c clip holds everything other than the center pin in.
No, I don't lick fish.
Do you have an old blown speaker laying around? Throw it against the ground, I guarantee the magnet will break off.
