It does, but I never routed that into my stuff. It was working just fine for 2 years, then my low beams went out, and my high beams followed shortly after.
Started replacing fuses, relays, to no avail. Contacted my MFG, got a new harness under warranty. Installed it last night, it fixed my low beams but my high beams won't fire. Swapped my relays & bulbs around, and it still won't fire. I can hear the relay clicking, but it doesn't run power. What would I check on the original 12V connector to see if its sending power from the main harness?

Sorry I don't know. But it seems that you don't have to have routed any of the fog light circuit into the harness to have a problem. But you may have to so you don't have a problem.

I gave up trying to fix my light problems. I just accepted it. Turn signals dimly light up when I hit the brakes. I've done grounds, different bulbs, resistors, relays, and I don't know what else to do so I'm just rocking it.

Wire Grommet Replacement...maybe?
Hey guys,
Working on repainting the jeep and while I have the tailgate off I decided I would pull the two wire grommets off and replace them. Little did I know they are no longer being manufactured so now I am running around trying to find a replacement so I don't have to put these old ones back in that fall apart more every time I touch them.
Does anybody know where I could get some of these? Or maybe even one from another car that fits.
This is the original part number if that helps at all: 56009766AB
I would really like to keep the stock routing if at all possible and prevent the inside of my jeep from getting rain.
Also tried the scrap yards near me and they all have the same issue as me with the grommet...imagine that. I also tried the parts stores around me but they could not figure out what the part was no matter how much I told them, one of the guys kept trying to convince me the part was a spark plug boot...
Here is a pic of the style I have in my jeep.

I found that after a quick google search for "door grommet"
Boots
You might try AMC Eagle Den.com, they have a vendors list of vendors that make or handle parts for AMC's. After all Jeeps are all most the same thing, just a different body. Good luck, also might try GM.

I am trying to figure out the same thing. During my search, I stumbled across an article where they rebuilt the box. Did not look too hard and I dont think you needed any fancy tools. Rebuild kits are cheap! That might be the route I go. My box isnt leaking or anything, but the output shaft has some play.
i talked to my mechanic about if i should try to tighten the box with the little screw to tighten the steering wheel and he said if I'm at that point I should just replace it and with some thought it is probably the best idea. i don't want the stock box to bind up or something while i'm driving on the highway.

same here, no leak just a slight play when I put my hand on the pitman arm. the steering wheel also has some play though, that's another reason I want to replace it.
