Thanks for the information. The web linked was very helpful. Talked to Spectra Premium tech. support to verify their design for my '91 cherokee laredo fuel tank replacement. The Tech looked at Spectra's design blueprint and verified the difference between the 13.5 gallon tank and the 20 gallon tank was the vent and filler tube extended into the tank (13.5 gallon). My tank on my Jeep is the 13.5 gallon though it should be the 20 gallon tank.
If that's a picture of the inside of YOUR tank, that's a 20 gallon. The inside of mine is configured the exact same way and it's 20. Well.... 23 now

If your VIN calls for a 20 gallon tank, it should be a 20 gallon tank. The filler tube will bend downward toward the bottom of the tank, the vent tube should be, more or less, straight out. You can "cheat" the capacity of the tank by putting an elbow on that vent tube making it act like a "snorkel" up out of the level of the gasoline. The tank itself can hold up to 25+ gallons, it's the vent tube that limits the amount of fuel below

I managed to get about 23 gallons capacity out of mine doing this.
Image attached is the inside of a new 20 gallon tank from Spectra Premium. It doesn't have the extended filler tube and vent line inside the tank? As I commented on a previous post, Spectra states the their 13.5 gallon tank has the extended tubes inside the tank.

Could I possibly got a bad sensor 2 times in a row? Could something else be messing with the CPS?
I started doing cruisers tips to track down this problem. I've cleaned all the grounds and checked the sensor grounds. The problem still keeps happening. I tested the CPS volts and got 1.5 volts. Is it possible to be getting too much voltage?

Can't really comment on the Spectra design, but that's definitely Spectra-specific. Haven't seen that on an OEM tank.

Default 98 tranny to 96

I have a 98 Aw4 that I'm trying to put in a 96 2wheel. I'm not quite sure what changed or what is needed to swap it. What wires need to be spliced, and ain't there a sensor that they added (would it even need to be hooked back in)? I'd rather not have to buy another one.

I'm looking to get an exhaust upgrade of some kind. I'll spend around a hundred bucks to get the best sound from my xj that I can. What, if anything, can I get for that price?

Need more info than that. Are you looking for a muffler only, looking for a cat too, are you 100% stock now? Are you doing The work yourself or paying someone to put it in (and if paying someone is that included in this budget) are you buying only new or possibly used. After exhaust work are you going to run the pipe all the way out the back or have a turn down or what?

I love the way my Cherokee sounds with a super 44 and a turn down.

I was thinking just a muffler. I have never welded before so I don't think I could do it myself and yes $100 is what I'm hoping to spend to get it sounding better and that includes labor. Am I even being realistic?
as far as a turn down goes I'm undecided.

I had a shop do mine since I didn’t really feel like doing it. They charged $60 just to weld the muffler on and weld the turn down on. I provided both. I sold a super 44 for $40 used last week, but they go for $80 or more new I think. I got the one on my jeep for free from a buddy.
