My guess is the previous owner took it out. They did the same thing to me when I bought mine. Went to JY and got a new compact spare, J bolt, wing nut. I also scored a spare tire cover and floor mats at the same time.

Sorry to say there is no spare tire compartment on Cherokees. The spare tire is mounted on the drivers side by the window. It sits on that little platform and has a J bolt to the inside of the fender to hold it in place.

Hey guys quick question here. Lately if I drive my jeep for longer than an half an hour she starts to heat up and and there is a burning smell, but the temp gauge stays right in the center as always. It will then start to chug, shutter, and if I stop it dies, but only if I stop. As long as I am moving it runs great. It starts right back up and will die again if I dont reach my destination soon. My oil pressure gauge had been moving around more than usual so I checked the oil and it was surprisingly low (not dangerously, but it shouldn't have been that low since I had the oil changed about a month ago). So I put some more oil in it thinking it solved the problem, but it just did it again the next day. Any suggestions? Throttle sensor maybe? I don't really want to drive it when its acting up like this, but I have to get to classes somehow. Just no long trips.

Gears
I have 4:56 gears and want to switch out lockers. When it says 3:73 and higher or 3:54 and lower which way is lower and which way is higher. I'm trying to buy some eaton lockers and it says for gears 3:73 and higher, would that be mine? Or is it lower? I'm confused

There are number of things they could be for but my guess is if they're small black rings, they're probably fuel injector o-rings.

You should sell them on here. I know a lot of people are doing Injectors swaps and they should definitely replace the old with new o-rings. Shipping would be cheap also.
