When I bought mine... my front door wouldnt lock. Turned out the rod that is used to lock the door with the manual button was bent, inhibiting it from locking... so I just removed it. Locks and unlocks just fine with the electronic lock buttton... manual lock button no longer works but I dont ever see the need to use it.
Poor explanation, but im tired I might try to explain it better when Ive got some sleep.

Hey everyone. I bought a 2wd 90 4 dr 4.0 cherokee for $300. I got all the 4wd parts, brackets and shifters from the U-Pull it yard for $450. My question is about the front drive shaft. I have the NP231 T-Case but the front drive shaft I pulled is out of a NP242 XJ. Just wanted to know if they are compatible or if there is one that is better than the other. If so I will just go to the other U-Pull it yard and get the specific NP231 one.
Thanks

Mine. No drone - nice and deep, but not loud enough to attract cops

On my '93 cherokee sport, underneath the hood latch pull handle, there is a momentary contact toggle switch. Does anyone know what this is for?

Default I hope this is the correct place for this question?

Alright..
92' cherokee sport
D30 - front
D35 - rear
4.0 HO
5 speed
completely stock engine.

last night went out in the desert with a few friends and was just driving down a well beaten dirt road when my engine just shuts off. cant turn cant stop well. try and restart, but it wont actually start.

I do the usual once over to see what came unplugged this time. nothing obvious. Starter motors strong turning over the motor, Batterys not weak. so we check fuel. plenty of pressure. Plus i can still hear the damn pump screamin away. So we check spark. Its not sparking.

I look underneath to see if Ive leaked anything and notice the o2 sensor's wires are frayed and smashed and burned from hanging below the oil pan and above the axle. not sure if that would stop it from starting so I just fixed it with some extras onboard. Well that wasnt it so I hit the fuse box next and sure enough the Engine Control 30A maxi was blown. So my buddy with an xj gave me his for a sec and it worked. Went to walmart blah blah blah got it started went home.

my real question is Would the O2 sensor's wires shorting on something as soon as I hit that dirt road, cause that fuse to blow? I wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary. I'm confuddled
.
